How to Get There
Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of knightsbridge , excellent location , amazing staff and attention to every detail made it a memorable. Everyone is smiling at this hotel,,, contagious !
Rooms and bathrooms need an uplift though...
Great location for shopping, restaurants and close to Knightsbridge tube. Staff treated us like royalty. Everything in the room worked perfectly. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!!
We stayed at The Capital Hotel twice during a recent holiday. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is superb and the personalised and helpful attention by the hotel staff was exceptional. Thank you to everyone who took such great care of us. We will definitely be back.
Husband, daughter and I have stayed here together and separately several times over the last few years. The furnishings are getting very shabby - the room I had for 5 nights recently was not 5 star. It smelt a bit and had stained carpets that are balding in places, damaged walls and soft furnishings and the arms of the upholstered chairs were really dirty. Because of the recessed shape of the windows the blinds didn't completely block out the light so I was awake at 4am every day. My daughters room was a bit better. I found the shower really difficult to get in and out of this time - I fractured my knee a few months ago and the baths are very high and the glass screen doesn't move out the way so its difficult to get in and out safely if your mobility is limited in any way. The staff are pleasant enough and the location is good for shopping and close to restaurants at Berkeley Square but I wont go back unless it has a refurb. Moved to the Cavendish for remainder of trip when husband and son joined us and it was better. Might try the Marylebone Hotel next time.
There are many very good things about this hotel. Superb location just 2 minutes walk to the tube and Harrods. Reception staff and porters were superb. Our room was great with incredibly comfortable beds and fabulous sheets. Turndown service was very welcome with fresh towels and water provided.
Unfortunately breakfast was a big let down. We chose the continental, however there was no cold meat or even tomatoes only cheese and bread with Danish pastries and stale croissants. Fruit choices were a bit limited. Not good enough for £22.
I pointed this out when we checked out but I didn’t get the impression that I was particularly listened to.
Such a shame as everything else was so good. I’ll think twice about returning.
