Usual visit to Berkeley

The service is of high level. The reception staff are helpful and professional and avoid sharing information that is obvious for a seasoned traveler. The concierge is very well connected and can take care of the most difficult requests i.e. booking a table for aperitif at The Dukes during "after-work" hours.

Cons: Lack of dress code at the Collins Room. It's unacceptable for the Collins Room to accept guests in caps/hats and any other outerwear.

All was lovely. The hotel is renovating all the guest rooms and though mine was not yet done (I knew this ahead of time), it was still lovely, comfortable, and the service was impeccable. A treat for a few days.

Expensive - but worth it

The hotel is close to perfect - perfect rooms, friendly service, nice and central location. Although on the expensive side - it represents fair value for money. I am and will continue to be a regular client.
