Lovely hotel

We had a great time at No Ten. It is a lovely hotel, very quiet. Rooms were lovely and bright. Area is really nice with lots of bars, restaurants around. Very close to underground, easy to get around. I was left a bottle of prosecco in our room on my birthday, which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

Nice but a little noisy

We stayed two nights and treated ourselves to a Junior Suite, which was a good size and well appointed. One problem we encountered was that the Suite, room 111, was in the basement and adjacent to the service lift which is used to move rubbish bins up to street level. This in turn meant we were woken early both mornings because of the noise! Given the cost for the Suite this was disappointing.

The hotel is well situated in Marylebone with good shopping and great bars & restaurants within walking distance. The staff were brilliant.

Basement - just saying
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Well, arriving to the nice looking hotel from the outside, checking in, all good, then they tell you to take the lift down? Ah, ok. Our room is in the basement. Very nice. NOT. So now windows. Well there are windows. But who wants to have the curtains drawn when there is a sidewalk with people walking and looking DOWN on you all day/night? Nah. So you close the curtain, and you feel like you are in a dark, small compartment. Note, the bathroom also have a small window... So beware what you are doing in there and if you want people to see it or not. Also very noisy. The staff had their chit chat corner just outside our room, so we heard them talking all the time. So well, I can't really review the rest of the hotel as the basement situation overshadowed the whole thing. I would unfortunately not stay there again, nor recommend it. Avoid room #103. Very nice neighbourhood though.
