Great location but single bed room very cramped
Reviewed 4 hours ago

Rather pricey for a single bed room type, which was extremely cramped. Not large enough to open up my suitcase. The air-conditioner was noisy, and the external casing appeared to be broken or cracked (you can see the internals).

But location is great (nearby tube station, Hyde Park). Wi-Fi was good, and the reception counter service staff were all very polite and professional.

good location

hotel was clean and staff helpful. rooms are small and small selection of channels on the TV.
easy access to all locations by foot and transit. nice bar but over priced for watered down martinis. almost forgot, UK king bed is smaller than a Canadian king bed.

Fantastic Experience at Hotel London Kensington Managed by Melia
Reviewed 5 days ago

I stayed at the Hotel London Kensington Managed by Melia for 10 days and it was a real pleasure. The hotel is lovely with great services and facilities. The location is so convenient and close to everything. Above all, the staff were amazing and friendly and no task was too much for them. They really went above and beyond, especially the day I accidentally injured myself. The help I received as invaluable. I will always remember their great service. Thank you so much.

Bar visit
Reviewed 7 days ago

I used to come in the bar very often even when it was managed by Rydges.
The service was always great.
Food was normally fresh and nice but now looks like they changed it and it's horrible. Today we had a burger but the bread was falling apart on pieces because was old. They also start charging for mayo 1£ 🤦‍♀️.
The barman (Mijols) was very nice and polite and offered us something in return.

Smart, boutique hotel, but a snug room
Reviewed 1 week ago

This was our first stay at the Hotel London Kensington, which we booked as we are Melia Rewards members. The location is really convenient, and basically across the road from Gloucester Road tube station. The hotel is a traditional smart, white stucco building, common in this part of London. The ground floor spaces have been opened out, and give a positive first impression. There are inviting seating areas, with upscale furnishings and fixtures.
The reception staff were delightful and check-in was efficient (online check-in on Melia is not working).
Our room was a bit snug, with the king size bed right in the corner of the room. The meant you could not walk around to the far side of the bed, and no bedside table, to leave a glass / phone/ watch. The room was effectively designed to make the most of the modest space, well equipped, and with good quality furniture and plain decoration. The aircon did not cool the room significantly. We had only four hangers in the closet, so limited number of clothes to hang up. The shower room was compact, but again with attractive fixtures. There was a good stock of fluffy towels.
Overall, a good choice for a short stay, but probably wise to opt for one of the bigger rooms if affordable.
