How to Get There
We stayed here recently for a company Xmas bash. The hotel is centrally located and close to the winter wonderland festivities. It is clean, very comfortable with excellent views over the city if you have a room high enough. We were on the 16th floor.
The food was very good considering there were more than 200 of us and the breakfast the next morning outstanding.
The only downside was the lack of parking and it’s a nightmare to find somewhere local. We had to park nearly a mile away
3-day business trip around mid-December to Paddington (London).
The Royal Lancaster was the cheapest rate available for 4/5-star hotels. Compared to other hotels in the area (with a less nicer location and facilities - had tried 2 of those in the recent past), the Royal Lancaster was literrally half price.
Really nice facilities (really feels like a 5-star hotel, compared to other ones in the area), really nice location (right in front of Hyde Park and next to the Lancaster tube station), and really nice staff.
Wish they had a loyalty program though...
I have stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels in London and the Royal Lancaster hotel has to be one of my most favourite places to stay.
Location : with the tube station just around the corner you are literally two stops away from the bustling shops of Oxford Circus. Overlooking Hyde park, you can walk across the road into a beautiful green space.
The executive rooms are worth upgrading to. They are spacious and offer amazing views of the London skyline
The staff are all friendly and welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Any problems we have encountered have been rectified immediately.
Breakfast - a really good selection of hot and cold food buffet style and Al A Carte. Great also for the health conscious like myself
Afternoon tea was excellent .. the staff were really attentive, savouries and pastries delicious and we were able to take away a box of delicious cakes for the children at home. Great for a celebration
Restaurant- the Thai restaurant is really worth a visit. It is praised highly by the staff and having recently dined there I can see why. It’s run by a lovely Thai gentleman and the food is authentic Thai reminiscent of the food I have tasted in Thailand!
I have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times in the last year and I would definitely highly recommend a visit.
Rarely do I leave reviews for hotels but this place is incredible. I always book one of the executive rooms based from the 15th floor up, the rooms are spacious classy and beautifully clean with incredible views across the London skyline.
It’s also one of the easiest hotels to get to for transport, less than a minute away from Lancaster Gate tube on the central line so access to central London is so simple.
The hotel itself is really stylish and bright in terms of decor and it’s always lovely to return from the hectic hustle and bustle of London and relax in one of the two bars with a nice glass of wine or two.
The staff here are amazing, always happy to help wherever possible making your stay pleasurable and stress free, guess that’s why I keep returning.
Also thought I should mention how great the breakfast is here, everything you could ever want to start your day. If your lucky enough you might get to sit in the window overlooking the park and fountains watching the world pass you bye.
They also have one of the best Thai restaurants in London Nipa Thai and if you fancy a really good steak they have the Island grill which is also really nice.
Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough for the skyline views, great food perfect location and incredible staff ....
I will be back soon
I was working in the hotel and had left some cables and adapters which I needed for the following week, the hotel packaged and sent them same day with out charge! Great service and very much appreciated :-)) Nazir was great help, thank you!
