How to Get There
We stayed for 3 nights for a birthday treat. Great location with plenty of very good spots to eat and drink nearby, Charlotte St has some great places. The room was slightly dated decor wise but spotlessly clean, the lady who did the daily housekeeping was so lovely and friendly. They staff also put a balloon and decorated cake in the room for us. Breakfast was fantastic, we had the continental which was plentiful and good quality with subtle changes each morning but we also upgraded to the full English for one morning (£4 surcharge each) which was good also. I would recommend as the location is great, Bond st 10 min walk, Westend, 15 min walk, both pleasant walks too, as already said on here all of the staff were fantastic, so friendly which really made our stay. The only downside was the street noise, we were 5th floor over the main entrance, windows not so soundproofed, the Duke of York, great pub is very busy and the service traffic is early too, nothing that some ear buds couldn’t cure :)
Good quality but small and friendly hotel with excellent room and breakfast.
Staff very helpful. Excellent room.
Stayed because of the hotels proximity to the Fitzrovian Chapel where we were attending a wedding but would certainly stay again.
If you are looking for a hotel in a central location that offers spacious accommodation at a reasonable price, this hotel is for you. The booking including continental breakfast which could be upgraded to cooked breakfast for £4 (including vegetarian breakfast) but there was plenty of options on the continental anyway. The hotel is very clean, I wouldn't class it as modern but it was lovely and would have been very nice in its day, not that its not nice now but its a little dated. Very homely I would say. The room was a good size, the bed was very comfy however my only gripe was the pillows were too soft and I woke up the morning after with an incredibly sore neck. Not their fault I suppose - they cant suit everybody. I would stay in this hotel again without a doubt due to its location and price.
This hotel was in a perfect location for my job. In London is easy to find great hotels from the pictures and then they arent once You get there.
This is not one of those! Very clean and everyone (they are Italians and romanians) very professional and ready to help.
I'll definitely go back there.
As a place to stay in the centre of London I can't fault it. We stayed for two days and it was fine as a place to sleep after a busy day. The service was great and the people were friendly. However, our room was disappointing, don't get me wrong, it was clean and functional - just not the advertised 4star quality we paid for. It was tired, the grout in the shower was stained with mould, the bath had a shoddy repair in the enamel as did the marble flooringh and the shower was so old that we couldn't turn it without the brute force of the concierge, so we initially got burnt using it. The light fixtures by the bed were wobbly and would have fallen if touched. In all the quality was disappointing, but given it's central location and the close proximity of amazing pubs and restaurants, the overall atmosphere made up for it.
