Good for a quick stopover
Reviewed 4 days ago

So this is a services Hotel just outside London. It’s clearly aimed at business /work stopovers and stops as part of tourism. So I’ve rated it in that context..
The place itself is fairly simple but effective. Staff are generally very friendly and good.
The rooms are spacious with all you would expect inside. The rooms are clean but I noticed that the carpets could do with a bit more attention and saw this in a couple of places.
The Gym is small and barely sufficient.

The breakfast is quite good, something for everyone and it’s well stocked with all the usual stuff. The Starbucks coffee is included and nice. The bar has a limited selection but is 24 hours and has all the basics.
Large car park that looked fairly safe and secure. A short walk away is the services shop Waitrose and WHSmith where you can pick up a few basics but at an inflated price.
Because of the location you either get railway side or road side outside your window.. having tried both go with the roadside it’s the quieter of the two.

In the context of a quick stopover it’s good and I’d recommend it for that purpose.

Not bad but not great .....

I stayed here overnight on business, from the outside it looks a great place to stay, but inside it is a bit dated. The room is not too bad but the trains passing every few minutes tend to spoil a nights sleep. The restaurant service turned out to be poor with people having to wait a long time for their food & in some instances had to go & collect it from the chef themselves. If you are looking for a place to stay & have something to eat this is an okay place but if you wish to have a pleasant evening & a good nights sleep ... this is not the place for you.

Not as expected.

When booked it said 4 stars Hotel. Definitely not. Booked two adjacent rooms. Rooms were spacious. Large comfy beds. Staff were not welcoming or friendly. Rooms were a bit old and shabby. The toilet handle was not working properly. A bit confusing to get to. Road markings and signs are all over the place and confusing. It was a cheap catch. Otherwise I would not pay the usual rate, I don't think it would be worth it.

Needs upgrading!!!

Stayed one night in a room at the back and there were trains going past all night!! I think they really need to look at the double glazing! Also the bathroom wasn't all that clean. There was only ONE spare plug socket in the room! The food wasn't too hot! All in all I was glad it was only a one night stay!

Great service

So I stayed at the Ramada last weekend and the service that I was offered was not ideal. I wrote to the guest services manager and explained this to her and she was absolutely brilliant about it all. Sa was so helpful and resolved all my issues. As a result, I’ll be staying again there very soon! Many thanks for your help Sa! You’re a credit to the company!
