How to Get There
Stayed here for one night for a quick trip into London, the hotel was fine I had read some good and bad reviews but I got what I expected, plenty of parking the reception looked quite smart and the staff were polite and friendly, the room was quite dated and cold and I could feel every spring in the mattress having said that I slept like a log and didn’t hear any noise, the room was quite large and fairly clean the hotel is in a good location right next to M1 I would stay here again for 1 night stopover there was a few contractors I wouldn’t recommend it for a family
Air con , big rooms perfect if your working nights
Best place if you working in London car park safe and free ,7 miles to central London depending on time you leave can take 30 mins to 1 hr to get to central London menu had a refresh actually one of the best menus I’ve seen for a hotel or pub if your used to staying away all week and have to eat in premier inn pubs thyne restaurant or brewers Fayres then this menu is pretty good and reasonably priced and restaurant open all day unlike others that open at 1800 like thyne / prem inn or holiday inn. Or travelodge
24hr bar too
People smoking in the rooms people screaming and shouting hairs in the bath which wasn’t very nice!! And if I’m honest it seem to me everyone can just use this hotel as a sesh graff with is good if that’s your thing
The staff: were nice enough, the most friendly being the night guard on watch.
The food: Tea was bland and gave me awful stomach ache all night, I wasn't given an option as I was booked in with Holiday package, I would have liked to have had the choice to pay for something from the menu. At breakfast food was going fast and staff didn't seem to keep up, looked very stressed (Also the same attitude perceived on the previous evening.) I chose to stick with the continental option, I chose what I thought looked to be the freshest croissant, one bit and it tasted dusty like it had been out for days!
The room: Was nice enough, clean, a fair amount needed changing, the window had no handle to open and so if needed to we couldn't open it, air con did not blow cold air and in the bathroom the bath was chipped and the sink worktop was stained pretty bad with tea rings. The bed was clean and comfy, downside being we were sat right next to a train track that had trains running all night.
Just got back from a four night stay at this Hotel . We have used this hotel for about the last 10 years when visiting London . Always found it excellent quality and value for money . Unfortunately this time we encountered a few problems involving uncomfortable mattresses and a broken bed in the family rooms . This was very unexpected as we have always had good experiences . However the customer service was second to none , and the staff couldn’t do enough to put things right . They changed our room and even upgraded us without any quibble . They even put a note of apology in our room and complementary wine , soft drink and chocolate. A big thank you to all the staff
But a special mention is deserved for Johanne Hordy (front of house manager) and Ahmed Salah (general manager) , they were amazing . The hotel is very clean and comfortable , there is a bar and restaurant too. The food is very good , particularly the breakfast . The hotel is competitively priced and offers a direct taxi service to the local Edgeware tube station ( costs £5) . Will definitely be returning and would recommend .
