Fine for an overnight stay and clean

Stayed as Park for coach trip room spacious and clean and bed seemed springy but very comfortable. Had evening buffet included was very poor chicken dinner and over cooked cheesy pasta didn’t even look at the deserts. Breakfast was usually cooked breakfast but not amazing. Room was quiet and bathroom very clean too. Would stay for one night if passing again. Wine about £17 a bottle for a descent Chardonnay so no complaints there.

Not really set up for business users.

As this hotel is right by the M1 it seems perfect for those in London for business, so I’ve checked in for 4 nights.
The room is large with a nice big, comfortable bed and plenty of desk space.
But, to attract business customers it seems ridiculous that the room has only one usable power socket. I’ve got a mobile phone, PDA, laptop and iPad that all need charging and will now have to buy an extension plug! This and the below par WiFi means I won’t be returning in a hurry!

M1 one side, train lines on the other, busy motorway services, En mass Chinese guests.. Thank god I brought ear plugs or I would of had no sleep. Two single beds pushed together..Had to wait for breakfast because of the Chinese. The coffee had run out, there were no choices at breakfast, just scrambled egg, sausage, bacon, hash browns, beans and mushrooms. Staff were mostly pleasant, room was OK (apart from bed) not a great night though.

ok for a one night stay

stayed here on 24th Sept' for one night as part of a coach tour.
the hotel was very clean, nice big bed which was very comfortable.

the staff were very pleasant, quick check in and directed to or room.
the bar was a bit expensive - £10.40 for 2 bottles of fruit cider, we ended up with bigger bottles and cheaper from the M&S at the service station just across the car park.

as dinner was included in the price there was a few coach parties. they gave us a very basic meal, fajita chicken, roasted veg and potato wedges and small salad. as dinner was included in our tour I don't expect a massive buffet but it would have been nice to have been offered some choice rather than just chicken.

there was a choice of lemon or chocolate cake, both very dry and no fresh cream to go with it.

breakfast was much better, hot buffet along with various cereals, pastries and fresh fruit along with cold meats and cheeses.

even though the hotel was right next to the motorway there was very little noise, only from the odd train passing by.

Dirty and noisy

Unfortunately we stayed here for one night and at first thought it was OK, staff seemed quite pleasant, the food was mediocre/poor, noise outside room, phone cable cut, mould around bathroom tap, bad smell in room,.. And then low and behold we found this the following morning hidden underneath one of the pillows..(see picture). We were mortified! My child had slept on top of this filth! Obviously we informed staff immediately... Answer - "I will take this for investigation"... Basically tried to point the blame towards us. As if! I don't have time for stories, that's for kids. I asked for an apology & for them to hold up their hands & admit it was a mistake, couldn't even say sorry. (I would have left it there). Pathetic attempts at 'customer relations' to the point of funny. Yes really, I thought the phone call was amusing, listening to the response of erm, erm, every second... Can only imagine he took a child's acting class for his award winning performance. Wasn't gonna waste my time reviewing, cos I've better things to do, until I've seen the numerous others who had the same problem,.. Coincidence? I think not! Lucky for the ones who had a good stay at this circus... Please check out the hotel for yourselves folks, I'm sure you'll love it.! If you like dirt and bad hygiene. Wonder what the Environmental Health would think...??
