Pleasant with some improvement needed

Last minute booking of the basement room as it was just going to be a sleep and get up and go. Was surprisingly better than I expected for the cost.

Unfortunately greeted by a very rude woman at the reception who doesn't know how to deal with customers. The guys the following day were friendly.

Upon arriving in the basement room, there a dominating sewage smell but we adapted after 5 mins.

Rooms have had thought put into them and I liked the unconventional decor. Beds and pillows very comfy. Shower was good thought bathroom could have done with a clothes hook. Wi-Fi was very good.

Reception area was cool, had games and a great vibe to it in general

Would definitely stay again

Terrible check-in experience

The DIY check-in process was terrible, no staff to assist you until another disgruntled customer found a member of waiting staff to assist who then had to call management for help and then stop a passing senior staff person to assist the other customer, myself and another waiting customer. The DIY door key card authentication didn't work properly - it even took the senior staff person several attempts to make it work. Plus a £31 credit card holding fee instead of the usual £1 or £0.01 fee that a hotel takes. Overall a poor and shabby reception experience.

Hotel with a very nice and particular style, a young and welcoming environment.

Very nice style and the care of the furnishings of the common area / restaurant / bar, a welcoming and young environment. The rooms are very specials with innovative and green furnishing solutions. Perfect soundproofing of the rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Beautiful the initiative of the photo gallery along the staircase and the mission of the same.
The standard room is a bit too small and not having the window is even smaller as well as making it difficult to wake up! Surely the choice of a room with a view and larger would drastically change the living room.
Too bad for the closing time of the bar and the switching off of the music (however low and ambient) at 11.00 pm, definitely too early for those who stay for a holiday and maybe it was all day outside and later wants to enjoy the beautiful environment that is in the foyer / bar.
