Just ok

Stayed here for a celebration with my fiancée and although the hotel is in a great location I wasn't blown away by the entrance experience nor the long queue to check in.
When I got to my room it smelled like smoke and there was a lighter on the floor, the bed sheet had a stain on it and the view out of the window was of a wall so the room was very dark. The furniture was a little tired too. It was also very loud in the corridor with cleaning staff laughing and joking and people constantly walking past. I could literally hear everything. I called down to complain and was upgraded to a studio on the 8th floor. This room was a lot better. It had a view of the London Eye and a separate lounge area. I'd say the room was basic in terms of little extra's you usually like to see such as robes, a bidet and toiletries so you better bring your own.
I wasn't impressed at all by breakfast. It was very busy and hectic, the bowls were either dirty or wet and the glass I used for my orange juice had lipstick stains on it. The food itself was tasteless and boring.
For the price we originally paid for the room (£154), the stay was ok. We chose it for the location and the ease of getting home after checking out. But in London you really do get what you pay for when it comes to hotels.

Pleasant surprise!

Better than expected. Modern and homelike. This hotel surprised me with its hospitality even before I entered. My luggage was taken as soon as I left the taxi. I found it in my room when I entered. Very efficient and thoughtful!

Fell slightly short but would recommend

I enjoyed my stay but had 2 issues. First, I purchased the exec lounge package for the whole stay and found the breakfast was exactly the same every day. Not a single change. Also the evening canapés were 95% the same every day. When your stay is 6 days it can be a bit disappointing. That has not been my experience at other exec lounges (Fairmont etc). The other is we chose the hotel because of its family friendly ads - however my 8 year old daughter was turned away from the pool due to capacity issues every single time. This led to crying fits that made our evenings frustrating. Otherwise good experience and would recommend.

A very impressive large hotel. Very contemporary in its design and persona. We had a very comfortable stay. The staff were extremely efficient and polite. Can't really think of any reason not to stay here. Maybe too big for some people.
