We spent a very enjoyably 2 nights in the Park Plaza in a well appointed and very comfortable room . The hotel is a 2 minute walk form Big Ben & Houses of Parliament and very convenient to underground station. The staff in the hotel were extremely helpful and despite it being very busy the check in/out were very efficient. The service and food is the bar was quite good.

Lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. My only very slight issue was the lighting by the full length mirrors was poor so getting ready for a night out, you couldn't see very well (didn't ruin our stay though).
Lots of choice at breakfast and everything was topped up regularly so plenty to eat and drink. Loved the Shrek & Donkey Christmas display in the lobby too :)
Great location and just a short walk to the river and the Southbank.

This location of the Park Plaza couln’t be better if you’re traveling on vacation to London. It has a breathtaking view of the Big Ben you have to be willing to enjoy every time you go in and out of the Hotel. Either if you want to take a walk toward Buckingham Palace or the Southbank the Park Plaza if perfect to save time on your sightseeing day. The hotel is massive and the weekend we stayed it was particularly crowded, yet they have enough personnel to meet their customers demands. They also have a small Spa they would allow children to access if you pre-book in the front desk (it is a free of charge service).

Room service was also very good and at a very reasonable cost. We used it a few times after arriving exhausted from our sightseeing day.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in a family trip to downtown London.
