Great Location but .......

First, the location is great and is easy walking distance to several attractions. My room was roomy and very clean. The food in the restaurant was good. However, I didn't find the woman who checked me in to be friendly at all. I flew in from the U.S. on my birthday to be greeted by a person who was not welcoming at all. I get it that it is just a paycheck. Also, my room had a view of some type of rail system so I kept my curtains closed. Later that night there was some loud music coming from somewhere and it didn't end until 1 a.m. The second night I finally was able to get some sleep only to get a wakeup call around midnight that I did not request. I also got the 4:45 a.m. wakeup call that I did request but I was already awake. Also, there is a $2.45 charge they placed on my credit card that I have no idea what that could be. This turned out to a disappointment, especially when celebrating my birthday.

Needs updating and over priced

My room (1111) would have been quite swish when it was first built. Now it's just grotty. Water marks and worn fittings such as chrome worn off of shower rails etc. The whole room clearly was in desperate need of an overhaul. The rate charged for such poor standards is shocking. It's right in the centre of London- just a short walk from parliament and that's what you pay for. It's resting on it's laurels. Avoid until it's been updated.

Really disappointed

Had high hopes for this hotel. I normally stay at other park plazas at Westminster bridge or riverside. My room was very small and the view out of the window was of another window. Dark and claustrophobic. To be fair, this room was booked using my radisson points, so basically it was free. I guess you get what you pay for. But basically a waste of points. On the plus side the staff were fairly good and is in a great location if you can’t afford the park plaza Westminster bridge. Really disappointed and will not stay here again.
