Nice Stay in Centrally Located Hotel
Reviewed 3 days ago

We were travelling with family and friends. From the check in itself the hotel gave very good vibes. We requested an early check in for our 3 rooms and we got it immediately. Though the rooms size were small(its always the case with any European Hotels), we were a family of four and was not a big issue. The sofa cum bed size was decent to accomodate my two children. The location of the hotel was excellent and very close to the London Eye & Big Ben and all other major attractions of London. The restaurant and bar was also very good and the staff to mention Tibi & Pasquale made all the efforts to serve you the best. The breakfast was also nice and we being vegetarian could get few things which was nice.Overall very nice hotel, courteous staff and good stay.

Great hotel!

The staff was great and the breakfast was really good.
If the air condition in the room had been better and the closest underground station (Lambeth North) had beed a little closer, this would have been 5/5.

After the fleapit we stayed in the previous 2 nights [based upon photos and travel agent recommendation], this hotel was heaven! Then again, we should not have been surprised as we have used the Novotel brand before, and have an expectation of their standard. This one certainly lived up to everything we like. Great staff from the moment we walked in to the moment we left [5 AM] for an early flight. They ensured that the room was where we wanted - even though we were a late reservation. We had to have a room close to the lift because of my wife's mobility issues and this was done without fuss. They checked each day to make sure she was ok with everything. Great staff. The room was large, clean and quiet. The hotel has a great location - we caught buses from just outside to everywhere we needed to go. My wife was able to [slowly] walk to what was the highlight of our trip - discovering that the Tate was just across the bridge! Did I mention the great staff - in particular Eveline who followed up on my wife's issues every time we saw her. The only thing that they could do better would be to highlight their location near the Imperial War Museum, the Tate and just a short bus ride to Central London's attractions [and shops]. The only drawback is the lack of restaurants within close walking distance for someone with a disability.

What a fabulous place to stay. We were here for 5 nights. Very central and within easy walking distance to a great number of sights. We walked everywhere.
The reception staff were polite and welcoming smiles.
The dining room staff and bar staff were exemplary. Nora,Julia, Oscary Lena, luliana and Gabor and Federico were wonderful, kind and attentive. They should be very proud of themselves. The rooms are very good, clean and quite large. It is a shame about the other very noisy people who were staying.

Misleading Hotel Name - Not Waterloo at all!
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The hotel is ok, fine by Novotel standards. However the huge disappointment is that this Novotel Waterloo is not Waterloo at all, not even close!
It’s a good 25 minute walk, 35 as a family to Waterloo. It’s actually in Lambeth, with Lambeth North being the closest tube stop, which is a brisk 12 minute walk. So if you were looking for somewhere handy that is close to a tube station, then this is far from ideal. Particularly if you have young children like us. We had to get a taxi from Waterloo station one night and it cost £12 - that gives you an idea.
The name of the hotel is definite false advertising.
Rooms itself along with reception area are ok, if a little clinical and cold.
Overall, disappointing.
