How to Get There
I hadn’t stayed in the Novotel Tower Bridge for years. I was quite astonished and happy by all the improvements since last stay. The rooms are very modern with some very nice touches:Bluetooth speaker, shower with electrical opacity system.. Very clean.
The hotel sits in a nice alley near the Minories, so the location is calm but pubs are not that far (as well as the City). The common areas are modern and nicely designed. I especially love the reception area which sits in the middle of the lobby without any counter.
The breakfast is excellent and is served in a cozy, warm but modern restaurant.
Finally the room service is swift, efficient and the dish I tested quite excellent.
To conclude:if you had an idea of what Novotel can be...change your mind this one is great!
Good location within walking distance to the Tower of London & to the Thames River cruise. Does not offer free breakfast for Accor Platinum member, unlike in Asia when you stay at any Accor hotel, you get the full Platinum membership benefits.
We stayed here as part of a weekend break for my son's birthday. With having two children under the age of four, and it being London, location was key for us for this stay. We usually stay at Stratford, but that was too far out of London this time. This hotel had a great rate and looked a good location, so, I was a bit nervous but I booked it and hoped for the best.
The huge, huge initial positive was the location. We stepped out of Tower Hill Station and you could see the hotel straight away - a huge relief. The check in process was strange to say the least. It was a very casual set-up, with no real desk as such, and plenty of people waiting, so we waited for quite a while to be seen to. We had checked in online to hope this would speed the process up on arrival, but the casual nature of the check in left people waiting confused. After half an hour, and two very bored children, we were seen to, and given our key cards.
The room itself was a generous size, with a double sofa bed and a cot. Despite the extra beds, there was still plenty of room for the children to play, so we left our bags and headed out.
Once we came back, we were all too exhausted to go and eat, so we ordered Deliveroo, and that came within 15 minutes, so I went to the hotel lobby and collected it. The hotel must've been used to this practice, and offered cutlery to us for it. A nice gesture.
We had a magnificent sleep, as did the kids, and the bathroom was fabulous too, with a really good shower. The room was perfect for us as a family of four with two small children. I was made up with it: it even had milk in the mini bar for the tea (change the cups in the room though, because I only got two mouthfuls of tea out of it!).
I'd joined the loyalty club, so I got an extra discount on top of the great rate. I'm usually brand loyal to your competitor, but after staying here, I would absolutely not hesitate at staying in a Novotel again. The staff were all super friendly (despite the check in nightmare), the rooms were spacious and modern and I couldn't comment on breakfast as we ate elsewhere. But this will be my new go-to hotel for whenever we stay in London - the location is superb and so, so handy for being close to central London. They even acknowledged my son's birthday by coming to the room with a little cake. Sometimes the small touches go a long way and make the stay even more memorable - trust me, we won't forget it!
My favorite hotel in Central London. Close to tower bridge. Clean, modern. Very good quality. Great breakfast. Bedrooms are highly equipped. Restroom and shower are spacious and new. Well connected to the airport. Near Liverpool Street.
What a great hotel. Modern and clean. The breakfast was superb with large variety of scrambled/fried eggs, hash browns, pancakes (on the monday), two great coffee machines, lots of pastries, cereals. Nice way to start the day - especially with a 10 and 12 year old. The room itself was also very comfortable- we had room 603 for four people. Fold out bed for the two children was perfect. The bathroom was new and modern. Best thing is the free water and coffee as well in the room. Highly recommend here for a quick city trip.
