Clean, comfortable and friendly and helpful reception and conference suite
Reviewed 7 days ago

Here for a training course so chose to stay on site - just easier. The room is clean, comfortable and just about right in terms of facilities. The bed is very comfortable. Towels are nice but I would have expected a bathsheet. Temperature is about right but I had to open the window for some fresh air. Loo paper is a bit cheap and the toilet smells of pee - I suspect poor aiming followed by poorer cleaning. Otherwise all good - receptionist very friendly and helpful and conference suite colleagues helpful, especially in relation to my annoying intolerance for wheat. I'd be happy to stay here again and just hope for a less smelly loo.

Hotel used to be fantastic; now I couldn’t recommend.

The sauna has been broken on a few occasions over the last month with no signs on the door explaining when it will be back in service.

The bar has been getting refurbished for months. They have stopped the complimentary bottles of water in your room and providing milk on the table for breakfast.

A gem in london

Very comfortable bed and quite big room for london’s hotel. Location is near Borrough market where I can try many various cheese and food . It’s just 5 minutes walk to the nearest train station so is easy to go to anywhere in London.

I tried their gym and sauna which is good during winter. Breakfast has many choices too and a short walk to London Bridge.

Easy Access to Everywhere and Excellent Staff

We stayed at this property for 2 weeks for a family vacation! We got to know the staff pretty well and loved seeing them every day before we left exploring. The breakfast here is awesome! So much to choose from and it's yummy too! Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, juice, coffee, muffins, fruit, etc...
The location was perfect for us as it's right next to a station to get you where you need to go and also Borough Market! There are amazing pubs nearby, and a short walk across the bridge to do a river walk and experience so many things I can't post them all here! There is just way too much to do in London! We thought we would run out of things to do being there for 2 weeks but we actually didn't get to see it all- guess we have to go back!
Our room was pretty great! There were 3 of us and we all fit comfortably and had a beautiful view of the Shard. The hotel was clean and the internet was good. They have a sauna which was very nice for us being from LA and it was a bit of an adjustment to the cold.
While we were there it was my birthday and my sons birthday and the staff brought us cheesecake and strawberries! They took the time to make us feel incredibly special and when we left we felt like we were leaving our family! Guillarimo, Lily and Scarlett work in food services and every day for breakfast greated us with huge smiles, laughter and advice on where we should go for the day. One day they brought us muffins because they knew we were traveling to Stonehenge and thought they would be good for our trip! John checked us in and he was incredibly helpful as the elevator was under maintenance right when we arrived and carried our 50-pound bags up the stairs!!!!!!! There are 3 of us so this was no easy feat! We were incredibly grateful after a 10-hour flight.
Maria and Nurun worked at the front and helped us with our booking as we went through a booking service and there was a small issue to resolve which they took care of right away and made it simple to fix!
I have never been to London and was very nervous about picking the right place. I wanted it to be special and easy for us as we wouldn't have a car and knew pretty much nothing about getting around. London was easy to figure out and everyone at the hotel was so helpful with tips and the service was top notch!
I will definitely stay here again and will be telling ALL of my friends to stay here too!
Thank you Novotel London city South for making our stay incredible!!

Short Midterm Break
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The hotel is very central, ideal for exploring London City. The check in experience wasn’t great. We arrived early in the morning and I knew we wouldn’t be able to check in at that point, which is perfectly fine. Unfortunately there was no acknowledgement of Le Club Accor membership
We were told check in from 2pm. We went off exploring and returned around 3, the room was not yet ready. The lady at reception tried her best to get us a room and kept the kids happy with a small cuddly toy. Once in the room we noticed there were only 3 instead of 4 beds, so waited another abouth half hour before eventually moving into our room
The room was spacious enough for the 4 of us, no complaints here. Breakfast was a mix of continental & Irish, fruit, cereals and fresh bread / rolls / pastry.
I’d come back as overall it was a pleasant stay.
