How to Get There
We were on vacation in the UK and stayed a night for some touring time in London. It was a good location for walkers, but the tube station was close (Earl Court) and a bus was across the street. Uber was also readily available. The front desk service was excellent. I am terrible with names, but there were two individuals at the desk who were especially helpful. One at check-in and one later in the evening who helped us with a problem.
Although the overall property was very nice, it does show some wear. I expect this in big city hotels that see a great deal of use, but thought I would note it. Our room (29 garden level) should probably be taken out of inventory until some work is completed. The floor needs replaced from water damage (it moves under your feet). The room needs painted and something had been ripped off the wall (a shelf maybe). The TV remote did not work at first, but one of the front desk attendants personally took care of this for us...a very nice, dapper young man.
I am loyal to the nh brand when traveling abroad. I would stay here again.
Although the Hotel isnot near the city center is its worth going there. The friendly staff en nice and quiet room we had, are reason to return there. Within 5min walk the earls court undergroudnstation or the bus in front of the hotel brings you within 20-30min to every interesting place.
We were going to Drag World at the Olympia centre for the weekend. But we wanted to stay somewhere where there were shops, restaurants and a tube station. So this hotel was ideal for us as it was 5 min walk to Earls Court tube, near restaurants and a 10/15 min walk to Olympia Centre. We caught the 74 bus outside and went to Marble Arch for Oxford Street Shops (saved changing tubes). Another evening we caught the C1 bus which took us to Westfield shopping centre at White City (which is open to 10pm).
The hotel was great. Reception staff were helpful, the room was big and had a king sized bed and we had plenty of space which was a pleasant surprise having stayed in lots of hotels in London over the years. Would go back to this hotel.
