Incredibly disappointing

In an area brim full of hotel options, we and 2 other couples chose this hotel as it promised so much according to its website, as well as being in a decent location for the event we were all attending on Friday night. It was, without question, one of the most disappointing stays I have had in a hotel for many, many years (and I stay in a lot around the globe). Uninterested staff, tiny rooms in poor condition, a lounge area not fit for purpose, a lift from the 70s that barely moved and an external area off the lounge where, in late November, all but 1 of the 6 heaters were totally broken. Worse still, our friends arrived at around 230pm, a lot earlier than they planned (thank goodness!), to be told there was a problem with their room and they would have to go to the sister hotel at the northern end of Tottenham Court Road (around 30 min taxi ride) for their pre-paid room! No warning phone call beforehand, no apology, no genuine help offered (apart from "we will pay your taxi fare there"). It took our friends multiple conversations and phone calls before the full money was refunded...and they found a far better hotel just a stone's throw away - close to the parking they had pre-booked. Bottom line - avoid.

Very convenient location coupled with a miserable room. I have seen small rooms, but the one we stayed was very poorly designed. Staff is nice and if the room is a detail for your visit, this hotel can be an option.

This hotel was lacking in many ways. First of all, our room did not have a phone, which is a safety hazard. The TV didn't work (this is a four-star hotel) which is insane. The room was cute, but mismatching furniture and textiles doesn't count for a 4-star rating. We were literally greeted once the entire time we were there (4 Days), and it was on the morning of our last day, the staff seemed preoccupied with anything else. They charged us for breakfast 15L per person per day (which was supposed to be included) there is a charge for breakfast on the Room Service menu, however, without a phone, getting room service is impossible. We were charged Room Service pricing for breakfast. Also, the staff was discussing and responding to online reviews at the table next to us as we ate. *The manager of the hotel did credit us back all but one breakfast because, in his words "I have to charge for you at least one breakfast". Went for a glass of wine 15 minutes before the bar in the hotel closed, but they had the lights off and the manager and server just stared at us before telling us it was closed. When I called regarding my complaint about the phone the hotel said there wasn't a phone in the room because "we were on the second floor" (I was out of the country, my phone could not call UK). Very unprofessional, the only good thing about it was the location. This place cost way more than it was worth and we were extremely disappointed.

Stayed for two nights on business with a group of 14. The hotel has a very friendly feel, you don't feel like you're in central London. I got a great tip from them beforehand on where to book dinner for the group and the staff was very helpful overall. The continental breakfast was perfect. My bathroom door kept falling off it's hinges (easy to put back up but slightly irritating) and the check-in process was marred by the fact that the reception desk is way too small making any admin a nightmare no matter how many helpful staff are at hand.

I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful boutique style hotel with my daughter for 2 nights. Spotless clean & helpful staff from the manager to front of desk. Loved the location. A Home from Home.
