So much potential ...

Fantastic location, small but charming rooms, cool bar/eating area but let down by sketchy service/understaffing and lack of training. Reheated smoked mackerel salad with a few dead leaves and no dressing, not good. Lukewarm soup with flabby sliced bread also lacklustre. Other guests rolling their eyes at the service. A shame but I liked it anyway even thought I was the only diner both nights I stayed.

If you want a lie in, don’t stay here!

Firstly, There was no bedside table or plug accessible from the bed. The switch attached to the lamp didn’t work. The shower door required a shoulder barge to open from the inside. The noise from the cleaners in the morning was ridiculous. Ended up having to put my noose cancelling headphones on. And having returned from the wedding party I was at I discovered they had locked the front door so I had to repeatedly ring the bell to have someone let me in. Would not stay here again.

Disappointed

Recently had an overnight stay at this hotel. It is in a very good position, very clean, staff are polite and helpful, and the breakfast offered is varied. As a single person I paid £156.00 for a room that I was told was a standard double room,+ £15.00 for breakfast. it was so small that I was glad I was alone. I was amazed at how unwelcoming and bare the room was, and totally characterless . Apart from details of the room service menu and small snacks offered, there was nothing to find how the air conditioning system worked or what programmes one could find on the TV. No details of what the area offered, or where visitors could go. A tea tray was offered, but the nearest plug, which I had to search for to boil the kettle was on the floor, and the kettle had a short wire! Only one side of the bed offered switches to turn on the room lighting, importantly the bedside light, so had no option but to sleep on that side of the bed. The bathroom had a towel rail that was unheated and apart from soap and a conditioner, the choice of toiletries I would have expected were absent.

Excellent

I booked at short notice as I had to stay over in London, my business partner was already staying there and recommended it. I was not dis-appointed and given the room rate I had it was excellent in all respects and I will certainly visit again. A refreshing change and lovely style to the usual low to mid-costs hotels in central London in which I have often stayed.

Lovely boutique hotel

Comfortable room, clean and in a great location. Staff willing to help when needed. The room was better than shown in the photos and recently refurbished. I will definitely choose My Chelsea Hotel at my next visit to London
