This is the second time I’ve stayed here. Last trip was in 2015 and was fantastic, this time my mother had a double room which was ok - comfortable bed room was clean but the carpets could do with a shampoo or replacement. She wouldn’t want on them without slippers.

I had the single room by accident when booking - although they tried to upgrade me they were booked when I checked in. The single bedroom felt like a dorm room - plain, basic but functional. Again carpets were a little old but acceptable - marginally.

The staff at the hotel itself were fantastic, they have “Gail’s Kitchen” downstairs for breakfast. The food is terrific but they are completely understaffed - be prepared to wait. The complaint here isn’t about the staff but the staff ratios.

Unfortunately from now on this would be my third choice in accomodation in London.

A positive is that the location is fantastic!

Great location, rooms a bit small

The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to a whole host of things. It was reasonably priced and pretty clean. The staff were friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout the stay. My only criticism is the rooms are a little small, however the location more than makes up for it.

I would recommend the cafe that’s attached, really nice pastries
