Pleasant but Noisy

Lovely staff. Lovely attached breakfast restaurant, although the 'deal' of £12.50 (a £2.50 discount) is silly since most breakfasts on the menu are less than that and when you can walk across the street and get a sandwich at Pret a Manger for under £5. The location was perfect. The walls are thin. On my first night the man next door kept me awake for over an hour, coming into his room around 3 am, banging things around and talking on the phone with his girlfriend. I had to bang on his door at 4 am and he refused to quiet down until I explained that I could hear every word. After finally getting back to sleep around 5 am, I was awakened again at 6 am by the sound of jackhammers close outside. The rooms are smaller than they appear in advertisements, although nice overall. I had emailed about room size ahead of time (since some hotels in this area would have you sleep in a closet) and was given reassurances, but was still a bit disappointed. No desk; nowhere to write. And it was hard to find places to set things down without knocking them on the floor or losing them. Given the problems with the noise and the smallish size of the room, I found this hotel rather overpriced.

Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere

Great central location and lovely relaxed vibe. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and served by friendly staff. Beds and rooms were very comfortable. The hairdryer in our room didn't work, but we called reception and they brought a new hairdryer to our room within a few minutes. The only negative is that our room wasn't ready when we arrived which was a little disappointing as we arrived over an hour after the check-in time, but these things happen, and we didn't have to wait long for them to sort it out. I would definitely book again.

London family weekend

My Bloomsbury is all about location. The hotel is super central, being located on a quiet street that is within mere minutes walking distance of Soho and Covent Garden, Bloomsbury and Oxford Street. In other words, you are within a 5 minute walk of an amazing mix of cultural, shopping, dining and partying locations. If you fancy shopping, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Bond Street and Mayfair are close by. For culture you have a wide array of galleries and museums close by including the British Museum, the National Gallery etc. In terms of places to eat, drink and go out at night the list is endless and the range goes from the well-known international chains to the highest levels of dining. The hotel itself is bright and modern, with clean rooms. Given the location, the trade off is that the rooms are a little on the small side, though they are nonetheless comfortable and well-laid out. The communal areas for the likes of breakfast on the ground level are cafe style and there is also an excellent cafe - bakery on the ground floor.
