Needs a rethink

The Millennium, Sloan St, has changed from being a really great hotel to a tired hotel.
The room is still comfortable & very clean but it is dated.
In fact the decor is so old it has not changed since my children were very small.
It is time to redecorate them.
My biggest disappointment was the club lounge - it was no more.
Instead it had been replaced by a really awful alcove in the breakfast room.
It would be better to have no lounge rather than this uncomfortable and unattractive tiny space. It does not even have a door.

Breakfast has also suffered from cuts.
The coffee machine is a disaster - and it was broken.
Bring back the individual coffee pots for each table - we do want coffee for breakfast. We do not want to queue for it. The queue was really frustrating. I dread to think what it would be like on a busy morning - just one coffee machine with one working part?
It was poor coffee - strong and bitter.
The staff in the restaurant have no contact with the guests. It appears that this is the intention & I would advise anyone going to the Millennium to go outside for breakfast elsewhere. There is a small cafe beside the rear entrance of the hotel and also breakfast is lovely in Harvey Nichols.

The location is really great
The service was good and very friendly
The view was nice
But the room and bathroom was so small very disappointing!!!
For this price u could get a better room!
For one person for one night might be okay
but for a couple for several days it doesn’t work!

I was a bit disappointed to be honest after my stay here.
The note has a great website and pictures etc but in reality it is tired, and in need of some updating.
Looks very nice on arrival but the rooms are below standard for a hotel that reckons to be something special.
Far better hotels and better prices nearby.
Would I stay here again? Only if I got a good discount.
I wouldn’t take my wife here if I wanted to go to london for a nice weekend.

It was a odd welcome especially as our three bed club room only had a king size bed. This was sorted eventually. Dirty mattress though. Bathroom was damaged. Nice coffee area and good room service menu but was quite expensive.

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times during the last 5 months due to its convenient location, however, my last visit, I found that the service was poor. My room had complete amenities only the first night. The towel was old and hard. The room was not properly cleaned up e.g..dirty glass was left without cleaning. The hotel used to be one of my favorite hotel in London but for the last two visits this year (in September and November 2018) I felt disappointed for the services that became worse and worse.
