Terrible Service, stay away

The hotel has one upside which is the location. However it is old, dirty and the service was terrible. One of my friend’s room was not made when we arrived in the evening and the hotel’s reaction is only to apologize. Reception does not answer the phones... so many things to say so in short: stay in a different hotel....

Disappointing

We arrived yesterday for a 3 night stay at this hotel and so far we have been incredibly disappointed!

On arrival we had issues with the water running from the taps in the bathroom; both had boiling hot water coming from them. The maintenance team managed to fix it but this morning both the taps and the shower again have boiling water. When we spoke to reception they explained they were aware as a number of rooms had the same problem. Apparently they had this knowledge for at least an hour (this is despite our complaint yesterday). We were informed ‘to wait until the maintenance guy arrives in an hour’. As you can appreciate following a day travelling on the tubes yesterday we are keen to get washed and ready for our second day and yet we are having to wait around. It is hard to believe that a hotel such as this does not have a 24 hour maintenance service.

To add to this our view is least from appealing and the shower/bathroom is very dated.

This is not what you expect from a hotel in this part of London. When you have shops such as Gucci and Harrods on your door step you expect the hotels to be on par and delivering higher standards. This hotel is certainly not meeting this expectation.

Good service, friendly staff. The front desk manager Mr Mohamed was excellent. He was very professional and got out of his way to make our stay very comfortable. We will definitely revisit.
The location is very central to all shopping and dining in Knightsbridge.
