Business trip

Location is great - center, close to the metro, close to the river etc
Hotel is clean, renovated
The room I got was tiny, for 1 person I managed, but I cannot imagine staying there with my partner for longer than a weekend
It was very loud as its close to very busy street
Breakfast was average, but not bad.
In general - I can recommend this hotel, but only for a short business trip, for any leisure trip I would not book

Fab! Lovely location. Super staff. Amazing accommodation. Beautiful breakfast.

Two of us stayed here for a 50th birthday celebration. We had a room with a king size bed on the 6th floor - hardly heard any sounds from outside (really important for me as I`m such a light sleeper). There is a small lift - just fits two people with luggage. No bath - big shower - lovely. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk from Southwark tube station - no problem if you have a suitcase on wheels and the weather is pleasant. Only 5 minutes walk to Tate Modern (where we spent 4 hours wandering around) - 7-10 minutes walk to Borough Market and Southwark Cathedral. Co-op, Sainsburys and Tesco nearby (3 or 4 mins walk) plus many bars and restaurants. The walk over millenium bridge to St Paul`s was impressive - lovely views (only 15 minutes` walk to leave the South Bank and be on the city side of the river - easy walk to St Paul`s, Royal Courts of Justice, Trafalgar Square Piccadilly Circus and Green Park). Also, tube system of using a contactless debit card is super-easy. We had good weather - made all the difference as we could wander around - there were many, many people on the South Bank (tourists and workers). Fabulous hotel (which I expect for almost £300 for 2 nights B&B) and good location.

Great place to make your base in London

We enjoyed the stay at mercury London bridge. It’s very well connected to the tubes as well as restaurants and the site. All within 7-10mins walk. The Tate. The bank side the millennium bridge St. Paul cathedral the borough market and lots more. Clean great food at Marcos and an extremely helpful staff. However. Just one crib from my side would be their bed pillows. Lumpy and defy needs a change. At least the ones in room 217
