How to Get There
I was in one of the apartments exactly in the apartment 4 and was amazing. The bathroom is the best part with shower and biiiiig bath. I would like to life in here. The kitchen is so good as well you don't need nothing it has everything. Room clean, and comfortable bed
I wanted to stay at the brand New The Standard next Doors but the rate was about 80 pounds less/night at the Megaro. However, I soon realized this is an old hotel that’s been through a recent make over. I love the quirky look they’ve gone for in the lobby and the exterior design is fun! But.. the Rooms are half ways there. I stayed in a Dr Marten’s room all in yellow. Loved the flight case look and the Marshall amplifier fridge. But, the wall paper doesn’t match the rest and the bath Room tiles were not in line with the rest of the room decor. Also, the hallways look very standard (like in any Hampton Inn or so) which is a shame. So, all in all they did a lot of things right but didn’t take it all the way.
I’m not a fan of the Kings Cross area in general but If you need to be close to the train station then this hotel is superb. On the plus side staff were super friendly and service attentative. The restaurant should get some more vegan options on the menu and They were also out of the non-alcoholic beer (which seems to be very low in demand in the UK compared to in Spain or in Scandivia).
Quirky hotel within close proximity to Kings Cross/St Pancras train stations.
Amazing reception, bar and restaurant. Great room decor and facilities with comfy beds for an amazing nights sleep. If you like to be different this is your hotel
