We both enjoyed our stay
Quiet and close to a lot of attractions in the Canary wharf area! Not as dated as some other apartments offering similar services.

Bugs and insects

I would not recommended this place and we are definitely not going back. I stayed 1 night and were bitten by bugs and/or insects. Pictures are misleading. Should you decide to stay, please get travel or medical insurance first.

I am staying at the Marlin Canary Wharf Apartments for 24 nights, location is good with just 15 minute walk to our offices in Canary Wharf.

There are local Tesco’s etc for dollies in close walking distance and Canary Wharf has a wide range of cafes,restaurants etc.

The initial apartment that we were given was not worth over £6000, which is what we paid, the kitchen was tired the lounge furtintire grubby and very worn. We eventually were given the option of 2 other apartments when we said that we planned to move - I suspect losing £6k was a motivator!

This apartment is comfortable, with reasonable equipment, although no oven gloves, washing up liquid etc. We had a few early snags which were sorted, night bulbs needing replacing etc. House keeping us VERY poor, towels not changed for over 10 days, same with bedding which in this heat, I don’t think is acceptable. Bins not empties, it’s a self serve arrangement and you have to hunt for where your drop them. We regularly have to go go to reception to request basics such as toilet rolls, bin liners etc. Book of instruction only covers appliances, everything else is guess work.

The apartment had miniature toiletries when we first arrived, in other apartments that I have stayed in, these have been replaced daily - not at Marlin, these were a 1 night only part of our stay.

There is a wasps nest outside the master bedroom window, which was reported 3 times but has not been addressed- this meant that icoukd open the window, which is not great in the current heat and the apartment temperature reached over 32 degrees.

The apartment above us have take to dropping takeaway cartons etc and rubbish relating to drug use onto our balcony, again this has been reported but it addressed.

If you want an apartment near Canary Wharf this accommodation is ok, but don’t expect luxury or the standards that you would have in your own home. A stay in a good quality hotel, with the benefits of a health club, gym etc for not much more.

The stay has been ok, but I will not be returning and would not recommend to others, there are similar apartments in the general area, with better facilities which I will try next trip.

Don’t stay here if you want a good night sleep we are doing the Ride100 tomorrow and there is a party going on in the apartment opposite - young youths. It started at midnight it is now 2:30. I have called reception 3 times. Very nice guy trying to do his best He has said security is on the way and throwing them out. The youths are outside. We have our windows open due to the heat but all we can smell is cannabis. It is locals as you can here them turning up and asking to get into Flat 6 for the party!
Just awful.

WORST APARTMENT EXPERIENCE

My friends and I had booked a 2 bedroom apartment for an outing in June, 2018. The problems began from the moment we entered the building, the first of our problems were that we had asked for a key for the balcony which was linked to our rooms, we asked several times to which the same null response was repeated - ‘you will have to wait’. After waiting several hours for a key we decided to just use the exterior garden. At about 10:30pm, some security guards had turned up univited making accusations of us throwing a party and smoking drugs, not only did this unethical company kick 4 teenage girls to the street who were half naked, but they then proceeded to make sexual advances at us, claiming that we could have the room if we paid a certain price. Needless to say we were disgusted and evacuated the premises immediately. Not 1 week later, my friends and I were shocked to notice that our deposit had been REFUNDED. However the following week, Marlin Apartments had then deducted a further £800 and decided to investigate our stay and decline any appeals we made. Of course it is obvious we will never be staying here again, and also trying to file a law suit against the company. I have never experienced such bad etiquette from a hospitality company. I suggest all future customers who are thinking of staying here to strongly reconsider your choices as there are so many other lovely places to stay in Canary Wharf, tbis is definitely not one of them.
