Arrived and had a very awkward check-in, a failure to provide photo id presented them with a problem. For me, after travelling the UK for 50 years its the first time I've ever been asked. Not sure of the necessity as I'd paid in advance.
However the apartment proved to be a disappointment. No toilet rolls at all, a dirty floor, no hot water in the shower or bath, and a previous occupants dirty underwear and socks left hanging up.
It's in a very convenient location for the East end, which is good, but the views they rave about weren't great, so overall we had to say it wasn't very satisfactory.
We complained at the desk the next morning, and were told somebody would be in touch. That hasn't happened either.

Brilliant place

Currently staying at Marlin Aldgate apartments! When we arrived the staff Brindusa and Ionela were extremely friendly and accommodating! Out of nowhere they upgraded us to a penthouse apartment which was extremely appreciated as I was here as weekend getaway for my birthday! Whilst I have not experienced my weekend here in London, I can honestly say that without a doubt I would return to this accommodation due to the fantastically friendly staff and amazing accommodation, lucy, Yorkshire x

It's ok

The apartment are ok but there is no air conditioning and sleeping in summer with the windows open is almost impossible becuse of the noise.

Location is very good. Close to underground and with several restaurant options around.

There is no breakfast service but again, these are apartments not hotels.

A last minute wonder

With WTM in the same week was struggling to find good appartments. But I opted for Marlin apartments and was not disappointed. I could not get an early check in but after a 3pm checkin it was above my expectation. The staff at the reception was helpful and the appartment has all the amenities that you require and was exceptionally clean as well. Was very close to the stations and bus stops. With a grocery store just beneath it was very easy. There is a pub and a wood fire pizza place just around the corner. If you heading to excel London Shadwell dlr is 10 mins walk. Fast food joints like KFC, mackers and sub way is few mins walk. There is also many restaurants in walking distance. I noticed abundant halal resturants and grocery stores in close distance. I would come back and stay again next year. Thank you Marlin for making our stay a comfortable one.

Well positioned apartments!

Very nice apartment well maintained and clean. Every piece of kitchen electrical equipment you would need. The only downside was a confusion as we weren't provided with bedding or towels for the 5th member of our party - a 15 year old grandson. Although we booked a 2 bedroomed apartment that sleeps 6 people, by using the sofa bed, they apparently required an extra fee for bedding etc for a 5th or 6th guest which we find strange. The receptionist seemed reluctant or not able to provide us with these items and only gave us 2 sheets and a pillow - no duvet or towel.
