How to Get There
Firtsly, we had dinner in Heston Blumenthal restaurant ( special thanks to Sonia from the Mandarin Bar who assisted us so well to make the booking), I had the best restaurant experience of my life, thanks to Manuel ( the sommelier who was just unbelievable) Mateo, Juliette and Chris, they provided an outstanding service and we spent such a great time. Food obviously was amazing.
Then the next day, we tried the Afternoon tea at the Rosebery Lounge, where Robin( golden employee who knows how to delight and adapt to the guest), Ivan, Fabio and Isabella were so generous and friendly. They provided a seamless and genuine service. We got a special "tea lesson" thanks to Isabela. We spent the all afternoon with them and for sure we will remember the whole experience. Sandwiches were so good, I could'nt stop to eat ...
We had a quick teas and cocktails at the bar, and we can say that Rodolphe knows how to take care of his guests ! He is very professional and the best at making the people comfortable. The red non alcoholic cocktail that my girlfriend had was just delicious and unique, superb creation !
FInally we had the chance to experience the new spa, and it was nice ( a bit expensive maybe for what we got, but it's a point of view). Anna (super smiling and warm) took really care of us from the booking until the end. She explained everything very well. Besides she prepared small gift for us at the end of our treatment, it was surprising and pleasant.
To sum up, we can say that Mandarin Oriental London provides a unique and excellent service. Thanks to the staff who makes a truly difference ( to highlight Manuel, Robin, and Rodolphe) and thanks to the excellent product.
Fantastic Hotel in them middle of everything in London. Amazing shopping nearby, great restaurants in the hotel and around it. Rooms and elevators a bit small, but normal for Europe. My first choice to stay at when in London.
I visit the Mandarin Oriental for business and everything was brilliant from food to staff, very friendly and helpful I highly recommend it. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Next time I am in London I will definitely visit.
Attended a business event in one of the ball rooms and was roundly unimpressed. The refurbishment is good and everything is suitably opulent for the Knightsbridge address. However, the these steak tartar wagyu canapé in ice cream cones should have been mind blowing- it was vile. The group I was stood with felt the same- I tried a second one just to give the benefit of the doubt to the chef and instantly regretted it. The other canapés left you flummoxed if you didn’t like pastry. So uninventive. The starter was already on the table as we were seated- this always makes me uncomfortable as one has no idea how long it has been there and frankly how many people have breathed all over it. The mains fish dish was seriously over cooked and the dessert was well- I see your point but this is Knightsbridge and frankly this is average. On top of all this, the floor is sprung so with herds of waiters stomping around all the time it makes for a seriously disturbed dining experience as you jolt around on your seat.
Mandarin- your prestige dictates you hit a high standard, you are falling short!!
Huge rooms with nice little treats placed out for kids, very thoughtful. One might think that this would be a hotel that kids were not that welcome, but we really felt the contrary. Excellent breakfast, nice pool and great concierge!
