Great London Hotel

Just one night here, but it was great. The Malmaison is around the corner from Barbican underground and easy to find. And because Barbican is on several lines, it is easy to connect - and good walking distance to many attractions and excellent restaurants. One of the nicest things is that it overlooks a pretty garden square (Charterhouse), which provides much needed green space in the heart of the city.
We had a Charterhouse Club room, which has a welcome bit of extra space. The bed was big and comfy, the sitting area was good, plenty of storage for clothes and cases, and enough mirrors. Towels and linen were all good quality.
The bathroom was fairly spacious; the shower large and slightly complicated although the water pressure and temperature were fine. We liked the toiletries provided.
Our room had an interesting range of teas and coffee, bottled water and fresh fruit, and some of the latest magazines.
Both check in and check out were easy and smooth. Breakfast was good value and good quality.
We would be perfectly happy to stay here again when visiting London.

Malmaison Charter House Square - Perfection!

Stayed here plenty of times through work and employees and rooms are always superb. I stayed in the suite last time and it was fantastic but even their standard rooms are comfortable and well resourced with everything you need (shower gel is particularly wonderful). Most importantly beds are very comfortable. It was well located for the City and overlooks a lovely square. Great local pub called Fox and Anchor next door and a few good restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

Very humble staff and lovely decor following the same experience as Manchester and London.

Exceptional cooked breakfast. Would always recommend. Thanks Natalia for following up with me personally after to ensure I enjoyed my stay!

Useful base for exploring London

We booked 2 rooms (106 & 108) which are at the front of this hotel and a little noisy but very spacious and with very comfortable beds.

All of the staff offer a very good level of customer service and especially the bar and restaurant teams.

We did have a small issue with a shower which was cold however, the front of desk staff fixed this immediately.

One slight concern we had was whilst booking a taxi to see Wicked in Victoria. The lady on reception, despite us explaining the address very clearly, booked a taxi to take us to Shaftesbury Avenue instead of Victoria. Thankfully, our taxi driver quickly realised the mistake en route and we were not late.

This hotel is a gem and especially if you require a base for sightseeing with teenagers.

Great hotel, staff, and location, breakfast disappointing

Loved this hotel..the staff were lovely, the bedroom was really different from most London hotel rooms and was very comfortable. The only drawback was the cooked breakfast. If you want continental it was fine. We've decided we'll go back here to stay but pop to Spitalfields for breakfast next time.
