How to Get There
Far from the center of the city, the Canary Wharf area is a very nice place for restaurants, bars and nightlife. If you want to do some shopping, this is not the place for you.
The hotel itself is very nice. Large rooms, reasonable breakfast and lunch. Fine restaurant for dinner! Thought the TV should have a couple of premium movie channels but other than that, it was a great stay.
Staff are good and offering good service everyone was very pleasant especially the lovely door man
Breakfast was excellent and again staff are very good. Would recommend this hotel also as it has good links to London and is in an excellent setting.
Stayed here for one night Saturday 22nd June. Greeted in a very friendly, professional manner by the gentleman on reception and given the keys to our room. Lovely comfortable room and good sized bathroom. Good choice of bathroom products and tea/coffee. Went out for lunch and dinner when we stayed here but went to the bar for late drinks upon our return. Very efficient and helpful bar staff and my husband and myself had some lovely cocktails recommended by a very knowledgable member of staff. The bar was very busy but we were served very quickly and it had a lovely congenial atmosphere. All in all a very pleasant stay, would stay again and would recommend to family and friend
First visit to this Marriott hotel. Great reception with Sam on the door, such a gentleman & nothing is to much trouble. Main reception was also nice, drinks on arrival and checked in quick.
Positives were, bed! Omg.... amazeballs, massive! Really comfy, lovely pillows, just perfect.
Bath towels!! Great size... you can actually wrap it around you rather than it just covering a leg!
Great mini bar and room service although I would question the price of the humus & Pitta (just my opinion) for what is was seemed expensively £6.50.
Lovely tea/coffee making facilities.
Negatives... booked months ago & asked for room with a view as it was a special occasion. We arrived at 3pm & the room wasn’t ready so the reception lady gave us another one with a city view. (See from picture) not exactly my idea of a lovely city view?
Having said this would stay again, good location.
Had business at Canary Wharf., so stayed at the Marriott. The room was updated and spacious by London standards. The staff was friendly. Ended up looking for dinner late 2 nights in a row and was able to get it at the hotel. Had a fabulous steak at Manhattan Grill. Second night it was almost midnight and the bar was still serving food. Had s lovely quesadillas, yummy. Nice sitting area in the bar for conversations.
