How to Get There
Staying at Marriott’s is usually a pretty standard affair. You know what to expect from the service, the rooms, and the restaurants. I have stayed at almost all of the Marriott’s in London and was pleasantly surprised by the above and beyond service at the Maida Vale.
From check-in to the restaurant to check-out the service was exemplary. If you want a great conversation, come visit the bar in Carluccio's and talk to Sarah, she’ll make sure you are well taken care of. Between the staff and the great mixed drinks and an even better dinner, you can’t really go wrong.
The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the location is perfectly suited for access to central London or some of the nicer northern areas.
Already booked my return stay.
Regardless if you are in London for Business or pleasure, this is a very good hotel to stay, very well communicated, lovely, clean comfortable, quiet Room, friendly and professional staff, also good conferences facilities.
It is located at Zone 2 and just few minutes walk from Kilburn Park Underground Station (Bakerloo Line) just about 2-3 stations from Paddington..
Nice Marriott Hotel in London area (Zone 2) and provide easy access to central London and many attractions. Surroundings got all the shops that you need and banks.
Good service level too. Front desk reception very friendly. I can't remember her name but the receptionist who check me in was great (She is from France). Lounge at little small as crowded with quite some people during evening cocktail time.
Overall nice experience and will stay again in July.
I was with my wife and a 4 year old and we enjoyed our stay. The reception is modern and we stayed here mainly because we wanted two double beds in a relatively large room at a good price and decent proximity to central london. The location is great as Kilburn park Underground is less than 10min walk away (Bakerloo Line gives you access to major locations). Tesco express and Starbucks are barely a 2 min walk if you need something. We also used Uber when we wanted to head back to hotel quickly from Oxford circus and the ride is short and convenient, within a 10 to 15 pounds range. If you want a meal, the attached restaurant is reasonably priced and serves good food, we had one breakfast and lunch in the cafe.
All in all, I would recommend this hotel if you have kids or even for business. It is value for money from my perspective. As I drove down from another part of UK, it would have been great if I could have access to the carpark or if there is a short term parking by the hotel for me to unload my luggage and ensure all luggage is in the room before I return my rented car. Unfortunately, I was told by Marriott's staff that I park at my own risk just outside of Marriott's main entrance. Given I was with a kid, this situation could have been better managed as I am not looking at long term parking but just to ensure a proper check-in and my family is sorted out.
My husband and I stayed here Sat-Mon of the London marathon weekend. It is a lovely hotel.
The staff were friendly and approachable.
The room was comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate.
We made use of the executive lounge on the 7th floor and it was a pleasant space with nice views of the area. There was a good selection of drinks and snacks available too, if wanted.
Carluccios restaurant is appended to the hotel and we ate here both nights to save having to venture very far. It was lovely.
The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the tube station.
