This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in

My wife has recently had a major operation on her arm and shoulder, she has had a shoulder reversal op so really only has the use of one arm, she wears a sling when she is out. We were given a room in the hotel, it was so small you couldn’t swing a cat in. They then gave us the keys to another room which was bigger but the bed was pushed upto the wall on one side with the other side having a wooden beam against the bed which meant when getting in or out of bed you had to climb up from the bottom. They then gave us keys to a suite, the bed was on a lower floor which meant that when getting up during the night wanting to use the toilet, being only half awake, it could be quite dangerous as only having the use of one arm. The shower holder was broken so when using it you had to hold the shower head. We excepted that, so went to dinner, the starters were ok, the main course we had a chicken kebab with vegetables, the kebab was so thin it looked like they had run it over with a steam roller, the vegetables were stone cold. Didn’t eat them. We asked for the sweet menu and were told we only have ice cream. Great! A couple who had a young child asked for a baby chair and were told the chair is broken. Fabulous! We went to bed and were kept awake until after 1 am by the noise of the underground. Again, great! Breakfast, well, the only hot thing was a container full of baked beans. Someone asked the manager where the rest of the breakfast was and told, problems in the kitchen, the chef is trying to get it sorted. Up came small pieces of ham and cheese along with 1 inch pieces of batons of bread and followed up with hash browns!
This hotel on some sites come up with 4 stars and some with 3 stars, I would not give it anything. The whole hotel needs closing down and refurbished.

three days here that I will never forget . This supposed 4 star hotel is shabby and run down. We were given a room on the ground floor threadbare carpets chipped paintwork grotty furnishings . All of this I could have tolerated but there was no hot running water in the room . we were moved After complaining to a different room which was exactly the same . no hot water ......so cold baths it was . the place is grubby untidy and the staff are dreadful . Avoid at all cost when I complained to hotels.com they did nothing except apologise as if I was talking to a robot

1 star for a reason.

I was utterly disappointed to come to a room that looks nothing like the pictures online. The toilet will flush, but only after 6 or 7 tries. The temperature in the room can’t be changed, and the room is constantly warm, making it uncomfortable. The shower door was broken so I had to fix it myself! The service wasn’t any better. I tried getting information about the local railway station, but the hotel clerk pulled his phone out instead of using his computer that was sitting right in front of him. Even worse, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the conversation, and the clerk told his co-worker to help me first instead of checking to make sure everything and everyone was ok. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Accommodation, 3star needs attention to carpets as a little threadbare in places, bed was comfortable but small double, on the whole not bad for a building built in the 1800's, would stay again as very near to transportation, underground 2 minute walk bus stop same

Very pleasant!
