Badly in need of cleaning and upgrade
Reviewed 3 days ago

This hotel is in a good location and has a great Persian restaurant, so we stayed there on our last visit to London. The rooms and corridors upstairs are in really poor condition, smell bad, with dirty curtains, threadbare carpet, and old and frayed bedcovers. The bathroom was clean, but with mildew all around the bathtub. Needs some investment badly. We will stay at another hotel nearby in future.

Great location, needs a tidy up but good bed

A nice hotel, could do with decoration and more engaging staff. The bed was good and breakfast if you pay for it was great, the best thing is the location and price. If you want to run it’s fantastic and it’s near Lancaster Gate. So as always you get what you pay for, I would come back

Friendly staff and good location!

I've stayed in this hotel for couple of nights and cannot much complain. The staff were really friendly and helpful specially Roberta. Very nice lady! Thanks again! Location is great, but rooms could be much more improved, but overall it is not very bad.

Just can't stay away

I continue to return to this lovely Victorian hotel. It's charming , and staff are always helpful. Perfect place to land at the begining or end of a long travel. Hyde Park is just a block away, and public transport is very close.

Nice hotel

Had a couple of nights in this hotel. One of the best things is its location, close to the station, close to Hyde Park. Without exception, all members of staff are welcoming and helpful and deserve special credit. In particular, Nikki who very kindly upgraded us to a suite, very comfortable, nice decorated and with a good view. Continental breakfast included in the room price was perfectly adequate for us but you can always pay extra and order a cooked breakfast if that's what you prefer.
