La Suite West is a designer boutique hotel housed in an elegant Regency townhouse. This upscale pad sits on the edge of Hyde Park, just minutes from the heart of London, pastel-colored Notting Hill and glamorous Knightsbridge.
Aside from its covetable location, the hotel boasts interiors by celebrated designer Anouska Hempel, whose portfolio includes Louis Vuitton’s flagship Paris store. Aesthetics are meticulous, going for strong contrasts with bold lines, a minimalist palette and sculptural forms with razor-sharp angles.
A Design Hotel with serious credentials, these digs also feature luxe amenities by The White Company, sumptuous sleeping spaces and chic dining spots. The Garden Terrace is sought-after when the weather is warm, holding American White Oak tables surrounded by manicured trees, hedges and plants.
How to Get There
We stayed here In October. Booked two rooms. Both very clean and well appointed and with comfy beds.
The lighting is very low in the corridors which means you have to be careful when walking as you can’t always see slopes in the floor.
Staff very polite. Top marks.
No bar. So may need to visit the Sainsbury’s local.
Wasn’t aware it was vegan food but that didn’t matter. Continental breakfast was Ok, nothing special. No decaffeinated tea available which was disappointing. No decaffeinated beverages in the room.
I would return though.
Was in London for business and this hotel hit the spot given its location - near Paddington (circa 5 mins in a cab) and walkable in about 20!
Check in was very efficient - and the hotel itself is pretty cool.
My room was decent and the remote control pop up TV built in at the end of the bed was a nice touch.
One weird thing - they don’t serve alcohol in the hotel - there’s no issue going to get your own and bringing it back but I’ve never actually been in a hotel outside of parts of the Muslim world where one couldn’t get a drink in a hotel!
That aside a decent spot and happy to recommend it!
Nice décoration but a bit dark and old
Very dirty - stain in the ground and on the sofa
Staff not nice and welcoming at all
Breakfast horrible do not go for it the continental breakfast costs like 10 pounds per person and is just bread butter and jam hot meals are in supplement and hot chocolat as well !!! Just coffee or tea possible (crazy)
The lady at the breakfast is just horrible rude and useless there were no more orange juice i asked for it waited 15min and i left without having it. This breakfast is a pure robery.
The heater !!! Impossible to control from the inside of the room whereas there is a control panel. Our first night was like in a sauna and the second like in a fridge....
The bathroom has a nice design from far away don’t look at the finition and bad smells were coming from the sink.
This hotel does not deserve 4* rate.
Nice boutique hotel. Nice location. Clean. Friendly staff. Nice vegan restaurant. But that doesn't help when you order a Superior room that is said to be 19 sqm and you get a room that is so small you don't know where to put the suitcases and the air condition doesn't work.
We spent 3 amazing days in this charming hotel in last September.
The hotel is a design hotel located in a small and magnificent street near Hyde Park.
This also a vegan hotel just for the knowledge.
I highly recommend this hotel especially for couples because it is very romantic.
