Pretty good

Very good location just off Knightsbridge very close to Harrods.
Firmdale Hotel. Had a bad stay in another of their hotels last week but generally like the brand. Especially the Soho Hotel.
There is a big difference in quality between Soho/Covent Garden/ Charlotte St and Ham Yard and these newer satellites... similar in some respects but different in quality. Staff less on it also.
Not a bad stay.. room cold.. next to the drain down pipe and a weird layout inc a strange step climb to access the bathroom .. but better quality fixtures and fittings than last weeks stay..
Staff quite friendly.. usual Mittel-Europa stuff which ensures unclear communication/lack of clarity but why not.. am sure a Brit in Bratislava would draw the same complaint..
Would possibly stay again but nothing here to make one specifically return.

Friendly Staff, Excellent Design, Quality Food

I stayed at the Knightsbridge Hotel for 1 night on the 5th floor. The staff could not have been more helpful with special mention to Amelia, Chris and Alan. They showed me around the guest areas of the hotel, explained the features of my room and provided me with a map and suggestions of where I could go for a run in the local area. I ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in London for business or looking for a few days of shopping as it is situated close to London's most popular shopping areas.

Home from home in the heart of the city

Knightsbridge Hotel is hidden away from Fulham Road within a leafy, town-house lined cul de sac in the heart of Knightsbridge. The most surprising thing for me as a Londoner born-and-bred, was how quiet and peaceful the hotel was. It had a wonderful air of privacy and calm, and I loved the unpretentious staff and surroundings. Everything, from service to decor was obviously of the highest standard, but at the same time unobtrusive and quietly elegant. I don't know if you can so much engineer this kind of atmosphere, as let it develop with the right kind of nurturing. I loved the decor - it was so fun and interesting. I could see myself living with each and every piece of furniture. Comfort is obviously a big consideration at the hotel - huge soft sofas and armchairs, spotlessly clean throughout. The bed was probably the best I've ever slept in! My suite had a balcony, and the staff kindly removed the bolts from the window so I could have breakfast and coffee outside in the morning.
The food was delicious! Some very nice vegetarian options from the room service menu. This hotel is too small to have a restaurant, but the quality of food via room service is equal to anything you'd expect from a restaurant. We had mozzarella and tomato salad, thai green curry, and a cheesboard. For breakfast you can choose your own smoothie, as well as juices, and a vegetarian breakfast was provided (delicious!). Our evening room service attendant brought our entire meal up on one tray, old-style, which I was hugely impressed by. During our entire stay I felt that service quality was paramount at this hotel.
Our bathroom was stunning! I could relax and watch TV in the bath, and enjoy the complimentary scented candle and toiletries designed by Kit Kemp. At bed time I spritzed my pillow with the scent provided and fell into a deep sleep, probably the best I've had since I hit my 30s!
Granted, we stayed in the nicest suite in the hotel. But I don't think you could be disappointed by any room you stayed in at this hotel. Staying here is an experience you'll never forget.

Good but left a little disappointed...

I was really quite excited to stay in a Firmdale Hotel but unfortunately I left the Knightsbridge Hotel a little disappointed. The standard room was small and claustrophobic at times. The room did not have plug sockets either side of the bed (on one side there was only a USB socket). There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room either although room service were very quick with our order (but all added extras to the bill). In my opinion the TV could be higher too as it was quite difficult to watch whilst in bed. The food and service were top notch but just such a shame about the room.

Relaxing Afternoon Tea with Vegetarian Options

I booked this for my Fiance's birthday and after a pretty hectic afternoon spent in Westminster it was absolutely perfect! On arrival the staff took our coats and seated us. After requesting the library setting, they happily accommodated us. The library room was so serine and peaceful, really cute and exactly how you'd expect a traditional afternoon tea. The tea choices were great and the selection of sandwiches and pastries were great. They even catered for a special vegetarian selection. The scones were freshly made with two choices of jam. Overall we were absolutely pleased with the visit and staff. Thank you very much and we would love to return again.
