How to Get There
First of all the location - it's truly in the perfect place in London ...a beautiful no-through road filled with exquisite Georgian Townhouses. Quiet and spacious with zero traffic noise, it's hard to believe that you are within 5-10 minute walking distance from the V&A, The Science Museum, The Natural History Museum, Harrods, Sloane Street etc.
The hotel is everything you would expect from a beautifully-run Firmdale Group hotel. (We have previously stayed at their hotels in Charlotte Street and Soho.) Incredibly stylish and extremely comfortable along with some unique flourishes that set these hotels head a shoulders above any competition - like the over-sized bedheads or the upholstered mannequins in the bedrooms, the thoughtful and quirky minibar offering, the honesty bar in the library. It's all totally geared up for maximum enjoyment!
We absolutely loved the little bathrobe, slippers and toiletry set that they thoughtfully left out for our son. Our whole bedroom was just lovely and it was very hard to leave. We had a couple of room service meals which were both perfection. (My son was totally enchanted by the huge silver cloche that covered his hamburger and fries!). Breakfast was delicious with a self-serve continental or an extensive menu - fluffy pancakes with syrup and bacon were a top favourite.
Each member of the staff we encountered were warm, very helpful and overly considerate without being at all stuffy. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. I wish I could have taken some of their names and called them out for being so brilliant. Next time! (For there will definitely be a next time!)
I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Today I had a horrible experience at the Knightsbridge hotel . I had booked my room directly on email ,I had informed them about my arrival time as well as check out time along with my flight details . I was travelling on an evening international flight and I jad requested them for a late check out , despite having all confirmations I was asked to leave the hotel at 12:00 pm . I spoke to the duty manager and requested him to help and showed him all the e mails , he was rude and rigid . Rolland flatly denied the emails that were already there on his system as well . I was completely stranded in the afternoon . He said that hell speak to reservations and the extension will be subject to availability . Despite rooms being available he didn’t extend the timings for late check out .
I have never seen such atrocious behaviour by a concierge .

We spent a weekend in London for my husbands birthday and were welcomed in our room with delicious strawberries dipped in dark chocolate. We were also offered a glass of champagne each. The room was a bit small but well designed and cosy. we were pleased with the comfort of the bed. The shower was fantastic and the amenities very nice. It was absolutely impeccable. We really liked the decor and style of this small boutique hotel. The staff was very nice and professional. And of course last but not least the most fantastic location. I can absolutely recommend this hotel.
Two night stay
Lovely quiet backwater off the busy Knightsbridge thoroughfare
Staff so welcoming and the surprise bottle of fizz from the hotel was such a treat as we prepared for the evening at the Theatre to celebrate husbands birthday treat
If you are looking for a treat in London would highly recommend
A lovely experience from start to finish. The hotel is a little gem, and the afternoon tea was excellent. The staff could not have been more welcoming and delightful, making it a true occasion. Highly recommended.
