First time-last time
Reviewed 1 week ago

Probably, my greatest mistake was to book another hotel instead of the hotel where I have been first time. There were no rooms in the hotel at the time and I decided to stay in Jumeirah Lowndes. Should I have stayed in Jumeirah Carlton Tower it could have been better, maybe-but I do doubt that. Standard rooms are tiny in booth properties, as I have been told and I have seen myself. As usual, the pictures of the rooms are VERY misleading in the terms of the actual size, so check the exact measurement before you book. Mirrors are located on both sides of the bed which makes the room visually much bigger.
However, I was confused by the words "luxury hotel" here, on the TripAdvisor, and with the rating of the property.
I did spend two days in London recently, and I did register myself here just to write this review, although I do not write reviews usually.
There are very few "plus" of this place-namely 1)location and 2) staff is friendly 3)Sheets and towels are clean and good-looking.
But this is IT. Guys, are you serious? A luxury hotel? In such a poor condition? Did you see your elevators recently? These are good for cargo elevators in a low-degree supermarket, but NOT for a hotel pretending to call itself "luxury". Actually I have a better elevator in my underground parking. And and the elevators are unbelievably slow. Reeeeally slow. Bathroom door was covered with the fatty prints and I do doubt that was from the previous guests-I am sure it was a yearly collection of prints. Scratches and various small damages are on the night tables, even on the ceiling somewhere... Windows in the room can't stop only a 10 per cent of the street noise-and there are LOT of noises, especially in the evening, when some crazy people with the idiotic sports cars revving up to 6000 PRM. And there many sports cars in the Central London. Seriously, it is absolutely the same if the windows were wide open. Overall, the hotel needs a refurbishment almost desperately. If that would be a 3 degree hotel for a 300 pounds per night-I would not say a word. But a so-called "luxury" and for almost 600 pound per night-guys, you are kidding me.Call yourself " a budget hotel" and reduce the price to the minimum-that would be fine..Anyway-as I wrote-first time and last time. I will try to avoid staying in this chain in general, not because I think all of the hotels are same bad, but just to avoid possible disappointments in the future. Life is too short for more disappointments...

Excellent location and great service by the staff. The beds were very comfortable and there was special attention with little things for my 6 year old daughter, great place for a family to stay on a holiday to London.

Although our stay in this lovely hotel was brief we would certainly stay again. We were made to feel extremely welcome and valued as guests.
It is in a very good location and ideal for Knightsbridge and Kensington with Underground stations close by for getting to other central locations in the city. A special mention to Mizan who made sure we had everything we needed and greeted us with a lovely smile every time we saw him. Thank you for making our stay a great experience.
