We booked and paid for through our agent a one bedroom apartment - advertised with an ensuite bathroom, lounge with sofa. We arrived, on entering the room, there was no ensuite, the bedroom was to small to put our luggage in, and their was a footstool for a sofa. WE went back to the reception, and politely advised the man behind the desk that I think we have been given the wrong room, no ensuite and a footstool in front of a TV sitting so high on the wall that you needed to stand to watch it. He advised rather bluntly, that it was what we booked and paid for, and the stool (which accommodated one person)was a sofa. We had a 10 day stay, we looked at another room which we were told we would be charged an additional 40 pounds per night for - the man behind the counter was disinterested and appeared to have not cared any less if he tired. The "upgrade" had an ensuite and a 2 person sofa, which is exactly what we had paid for in the first place. We waited for our luggage to be delivered to our room as promised, after a 40 minute wait, so we could shower after our long journey, we went down and collected the bags ourselves. The lifts are slow and very small for the amount of rooms they service.
The cups in the room were chipped and someone came into the room and changed some light bulbs and the old, dirty ones sat in our bathroom for 4 days before someone removed them. The rubbish bin was broken and had no lid.
The carpet in the hallways was threadbare and looked as though it needed a good clean. they advertise laundry facilities, but what they don't say is you cannot launder your own clothes, but charged 10 pounds per load and 1 pound for washing powder!
There are much better options in London than this dump.
The place is horrible, stay away.

Lovely hotel close to everything

My friends and i stayed here for about 8 days. Its close to bayswater and queensway station. Close to shops and supermarkets. The room was on the third floor we had to go through narrow hallways to get to the room but the room was just right for 3 adults. The sofa bed was quite hard and the double bed was not so bad. The kitchenette was basic equipped with what you needed nothing fancy, just enough. We were able to save money by having our own breakfast and fridge was just big enough. The bathroom slightly small, but we managed. The cleaning service done every day and done well.
We did laundry before we left cost us 22 pounds bit pricy but we had to do it before we left.

The front desk were welcoming answered our questions and when the kettle was leaking they replaced it that night with no issues.

The internet wasnt too bad but most internets are like this place.

From the outside it looks like all the other apartments in the same street, very vintage. If you want a lovely stay, i would recommend.

Nice location, very central

With five of us, three kids 12,10 and 8, was difficult to find reasonable accommodation close to the city. The room was pretty small, but this is what you expect in London. Surprisingly, there was no double bed, only two singles in the main bedroom. The 3 kids slept in the main living area. Kitchen / table area was small but still allowed for breakfast to be had each day before touring.

It is very close to Kensington park and Bayswater tube station which is only 5 stops or so to Westminster. If you don’t plan on spending too much time in your room and are looking for somewhere clean and close to town, this is a winner !
