Enjoyable stay & good value proposition
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I’d recently spent three nights at the Native Monument serviced apartments. This is the first time that I stayed in a hotel in the city (previous trips were all at hotels in the West End) so it’s quite exciting for me for a change of scenery.

Native Monument is located very close to the Monument tube station (District and Circle lines). The circle line can be confusing if you are a first time visitor to London so look out for the train display information at the platform.

I had a one bedroom apartment on the first floor, which looks out to the busy Lower Thames Street. It’s a busy road during the day and noisy.

The unit was clean, well equipped, the bed was comfortable, wifi worked well. The bathroom was a bit tight. The glass cabinet above the sink can be a danger if you lean forward when brushing your teeth. I had to remind myself not to lean forward to avoid knocking on the glass corner of the cabinet.

The washing machine worked well but the wash cycle took two hours.

The Native Monument’s location turned out well for me - quite close to London Bridge and a easy walk to Tower Bridge.

Overall, it was a comfortable stay and of good value.

Good location for business

Reason for staying at native monument was because its near to my office. The bed was too small for two ppl and I doubt it will fit a tall person. You need your key to open the facilities door in your room where the washing machine was. No one has informed us nor any signage which I think these are things that’s need to be improved. The hotel is located right next to a pub so prepared noise from
5pm onwards. Fortunately we had fell asleep after a long day but probably you need to reconsider if this will cause an issue.

These apartments are excellent, they have everything you could want. They are fully equipped, spacious and clean in an excellent location 5 minutes from the tube. The staff are friendly and helpful, would definitely go back, many thanks.

Best London Location

Really enjoyed staying here . self contained close to a Tescos and the tube is 50m away. Bed was small but room was excellent. do try for a room that is not alley facing as the pub next door can be noisey. Thought this was best value in town and will try and always stay here

Very spacious two bedroom apartment with the comforts of home. Two TV’s, two baths, and a balcony with a view. Simple washing machine for small loads which case in handy. Staff was very helpful and enjoyed staying here with family as opposed to our regular hotel.
