How to Get There
Good food at decent prices (considering the area of London!), with a good selection of plates. The bar staff and especially the manager are very friendly!
The hotel also has a good breakfast, and they welcome you with a warm choc chip cookie when you check in!
Fantastic hotel located just a short walk from London City airport.
On the DLR next to Prince Regent stop.
Easy enough to get into town via DLR and tube.
Conveniently located for Excel and O2.
Staff are friendly and helpful
Rooms are comfortable and have a lovely view of the river.
Breakfast is delicious
I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London especially if flying into London City
Very close to London City Airport, walking distance from train station and excel exhibition, DLR, personnel was vey kind, helpful and available to listen. You can hardly hear the planes traffic so the quality of sleeping is optimal.
Pleasant 10 min walk from Prince Regent (DLR). Nothing much around the hotel but walked along the waterside to the Emirates Line cable car which was a cheap and thrilling way to get across the Thames. Then we walked to Greenwich along the river and visited Greenwich Market, Cutty Sark and had lunch at the Fromage and Champagne which was great - then back down the river by boat and walked back to the hotel. Early next morning the taxi booked by the hotel turned up on time at 05.30 and delivered us to London City Airport. A great way to spend a day.
Hotel staff friendly, room comfortable, meal in restaurant pretty good and price of hotel and food reasonable. It did help that the sun was shining.
Having stayed at another Double tree hilton I was looking forward to this .
The receptionist was efficient rather than friendly, the room was stifling hot and the air con was all noise and no breeze, cheap nasty toilet paper and no spare roll so we ran out at an awkward moment, wasn't made to feel like a welcome guest by having to pay £5.50 for 2 tiny bottles of water in the (hot) room, free only to special members 😡.
Awful pillows but really decent size single beds, the room was bland but clean, don't think I would go back
