Currently staying in 1 bed apartment no 305 which is very nice but the constant noise and banging by house keeping nearby is infuriating. Am here for a week and this had better not continue or I will need a refund and stay elsewhere.

A friendly and efficient welcome, a lovely room, with even a small kitchen area.

The location is great, only a few minutes walk from Pimlico and right on the Thames, and the complex even has its own selection of shops, a pool and a restaurant.

Outstanding cool-weather apartment hotel
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Stayed for one week of a thoroughly delightful London vacation. Located in Pimlico, a convenient walk, tube, or bus ride to most of the tourist areas of London, we had a flat with a bathroom the size of the entire room of most other London hotels I've previously stayed at. Spacious bedroom and living room made for highly relaxing downtime.. Despite the reviews stating poor WiFi service, our top-floor apartment had excellent (and free) WiFi connectivity. Polite and helpful front desk staff. Free self-service laundromat was in the building. Neighborhood well-provisioned with upscale homes and variety of small shops, including coffee shop, grocery, and hairdresser within the complex, though few neighborhood restaurants. Apart from being under the Heathrow landing pattern, the place was quiet, surprisingly so for a central city.

Two disadvantages: (1) the kitchen--this area consisted of a microwave, counter-height refrigerator, teakettle, and sink, unsuitable for preparing anything other than a bowl of instant oatmeal and a glass of milk. Fortunately for us, that was all we needed. (2) THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. Since the outdoor temperature during our stay never rose above 68, we remained comfortable; however, some late afternoons, we could feel how warm weather would turn our apartment into an oven. The fan which we were provided as our warm weather tool made suitable fan noises, but moved very little air.

Another drawback was a shortage of electrical outlets: as befit this 1930's piece of British construction, each room had only 1-2 outlets. In the bedroom, the nearest outlet to the bed was 12 feet away. Therefore, if you use a CPAP machine or other bedside appliance, it would be wise to bring your own extension cord.

One other thing: beware of the 90-pound deposit they charge to your credit card on arrival: they will not automatically refund it at checkout. Remember to ask for the refund at checkout.

All in all, a hugely enjoyable stay at the Dolphin.
