Having stayed here on many occasions over the past four years, we were surprised at the "streamlining" which is being carried out at present. The bar is now permanently closed to hotel residents as We now have a chill cabinet situated in reception. The breakfast staff have been cut and there is no table service at all . There is a hot drinks machine. In general, the hotel is rapidly losing its 4 * appeal, in fact, this is is no longer a 4* hotel, rooms are tired, tiles cracked, Windows need refurbishment but the staff that still remain are friendly and efficient.

The perfect location for the Maritime weekend.

We wanted to visit the Observatory, Queens House, Maritime Museum and the Cutty Sark - all within walking distance of this hotel. The hotel itself was comfortable with good facilities. We had a room suitable for a wheelchair and couldn’t fault it. The staff were very efficient and friendly.

Beautiful outside and friendly staff

I booked two rooms for my parents and cousin, they only stayed one night at the hotel. The staff were friendly and nice but the rooms looked old and need a bit of re decoration, also one of the rooms (I think 301) could hear a lot of noise from the main street and a dripping noise from above the whole night, the bath was deeper than normal and it wasn’t that easy for them to get out but beds were really comfortable and nice breakfast with a lot of options.

Brilliant hotel

Fantastic location, parking, great staff, really helpful at every point. Lovely big rooms - fantastic price. Right in the doorstep of the DLR which is great for central London. Highly recommended. The bedroom is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Right next door to Greenwich market.

Good Location, good base hotel
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We booked through a third party site with a deal, 2 nights including breakfast and a bottle of prosecco. Could not fault the hotel for the price we paid, yes bathroom is a little tired but it was clean. We just used it as a base as we were in London for the majority of the time. Breakfast was excellent, hot cooked breakfast buffet and cold buffet available, good selection. Staff were really helpful and the hotel is set in lovely grounds, right next door to the maritime museum. DLR station is around a 5 minute walk to the hotel so great to travel into London. Room was warm, cosy, clean and beds comfy. Couldn't fault for the price we paid.
