How to Get There
Easy access to Wembley stadium for our concert. Very helpful check in staff. No air conditioning in economy rooms. Fan provided if you are too warm. Food not sampled on this occasion but would possibly book breakfast next time.
The hotel was overall OK. The food at breakfast was good, and the staff were kind. My room was in the old part of the hotel, and the carpets in corridor were old and stained. The hotel was close to regents park, but very far from city center. So walking was not an option.
The hotel is average and the location was good for the intent of our vacation. The service at the reception was really good. Within all to mention Enza who has been really welcoming and attentive to our multiple requests.
I arrived at the Danubius Hotel as part of a business trip for my colleagues and I to visit the Taste of London event.
I was able to drive to the hotel and park with relative ease and was told to check in later that afternoon. This suited us as we were not planning to return until the early evening anyway.
We returned to the hotel after the event and my colleagues were were (slowly) checked in one by one. As I was using the car park I was asked to put hand over a credit card so they could process a £60 charge. Believe it or not I don't carry cash or own a credit card so was stuck in a 20 minute conundrum as they decided what to do. There was no mention of this on the website by the way.
After a few very frantic calls it was resolved but in my opinion extremely poorly considering the the amount of rooms we had booked for the night (Never again).
The rooms are smart but distinctly average and there are better places to stay for for go for the price.
Shame really as it was through a business recommendation that we decided not to book however we won't be returning or suggesting it to our colleagues for future events.
Overall a real disappointment.
I use this hotel a lot, it is centrally located just a short walk from St John's Wood tube station. Breakfast is a buffet of healthy stuff or Full English! Hotel is across road from Regents Park in a relatively calm and quiet location. A pleasant walk through the park (weather permitting) to central shopping areas. Staff are always friendly and polite (not always the case with London hotels...). I recommend this place.
