Nice location!

The hotel has a very convenient location. Tube and bus stops are walking distance from the hotel. There are numerous good restaurants around the area and just across the hotel is a small shopping area and a supermarket. Staff are not too warm and welcoming. Room is clean, homey, spacious and complete with amenities, although it's a bit old and needs refurbishing.

Very quiet!

I love how quiet the room was. After reading the reviews here I was a little concerned about noise when I was given a room facing the street. My concern was unfounded however because I could not hear any noise day or night when I had the window shut. I’m sure it also helped that I was on the top floor.

I also love the location of this hotel. There’s the tube station (within zone 1 and three lines stop there, so easy and less expensive to get around the city), supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and pastry shop all just across the street. Many taxis drive by the hotel entrance. It’s also about a 10 minute walk to the natural history and V&A museums.

On top of that the staff was helpful and courteous. I still can’t believe how quiet the housekeeping staff was. I never heard any sound from cleaning the whole week I stayed there.

I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I visit London.

Great Location, Perfect for Our Family Vacation

We selected this hotel based on location to the Tube and it did not disappoint. The station across the street allowed us to get anywhere in the city with ease. In addition to easy access to the Tube the hotel was within walking distance to museums and parks. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again and will recommend to others.

Wonderful stay!

From a friendly checkin, to a spacious & well-appointed room, to fast Wi-Fi, to the lovely executive club it was a perfect stay! Loved the substantial pillows that actually gave head support, not just fluff. Could use some light-blocking shades for bright & early summer mornings (the curtains don’t quite go to the ceiling), but not a terrible problem. Helpful & courteous staff at all levels. Will return!

The perfect 30th wedding anniversary
Reviewed 6 days ago

I have stayed at this hotel for more than 25 years and have known the doorman "Sixto" for all of these years. It always felt like a second home for me. After Sixto retired this year, I was worried that the homely culture might change. Far from it! The staff were outstanding in all respects and the room was perfect for our 30th wedding anniversary. I typically stay at the hotel a few times a year, and this will continue...
