How to Get There
We have just returned from our family's first trip to London and were beyond delighted with the accommodations at the Collingham Serviced Apartments! We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite and it was so spacious for our family of 5. The apartment is meticulously clean. The beds are sumptuously comfortable. The washer/dryer is beyond helpful with a family of 5. The kitchen was perfect: we were able to eat breakfast in every morning, and made sandwiches to take with us while touring around the city. There is a delightful terrace to enjoy your tea or glass of wine. The neighborhood is gorgeous and so quiet - you scarcely know you are in the city of London! However, you are so close to a variety of tube stations, shopping, and great restaurants. The most amazing aspect of the Collingham Serviced Apartments is the service. Our family had to ship medical food and formula ahead of our arrival to the apartments. The staff was so incredibly helpful and friendly with this task. Every interaction was friendly, courteous, and helpful. They helped us to book tours, recommended restaurants, and more. We loved every minute of our stay and would recommend them fully to anyone! Thank you for a wonderful, memorable trip, Collingham Serviced Apartments!
I regularly stay at collingham serviced apartments when I go to London and my recent visit was no exception
On arrival we as a family of six were greeted in a warm and friendly manner and nothing was too much trouble for staff members when asked
Everything was all right.
We were 7 people. So not easy.
A special thanks to Victor Dobritan, very nice and friendly person, if you have any problem he has a solution.
And he helped us so much.
Thank you. ×××××
P.s. Greenwich is very nice Victor, you're lucky.
We were here last spring for close to a week. For the price paid the accommodation was ok, room was functional and staff were friendly enough. The apartment had two bedrooms and was a good size - was nice to have a parlor. Plus the location was in a good neighbourhood and close to two tube stations.
There are a huge number of stellar reviews here each with overwhelmingly positive comments, but strangely very few balanced reviews. Anyway, I’ll provide my criticism and caution readers to review closely the other ratings less than 5 out of 5.
Our experience was the room though serviceable was very dated. There were stains on some of the furniture (which was old) and carpet, the room felt really fatigued. Bathroom was dated, may have been updated 15 years ago I’d guess. And the footfalls from the room above were deafening, sounded like thunder, which was not great at midnight. The staff were fine, but nothing about the service stood out compared to any other place I have stayed. The lobby is very small and was packed with suitcases when we arrived, no lounge area at all to relax, read etc.
The Collingham was not a bad hotel/apartment but it just was not anywhere close to luxury /4 star. If they advertised themselves as 3 star apartment accommodation (which is consistent with the pricing and the offering) then I’d say this place is just fine. And would maybe have given them 4 out of 5 rating. But the experience at the Collingham did not come close to what I expected from their advertising and all the reviews here. We actually felt misled. Should have known that you get what you pay for. We are coming back to London next week, this time we will stay in a 4 star hotel rather than an apartment hotel, It will cost about £100 more per night but worth it to us after our experience last year.
I highly recommend this hotel/apartment. The staff is wonderful - very informative and service oriented. The location is great - easy walk to two different underground stations. The view was awesome. Very quiet neighborhood. Would stay here again!
