How to Get There
Staff would be more helpful to us, as english guests, if they were able to understand english better. Communication was very poor indeed.
Very strong incense burners in reception make the eyes water.
Otherwise a nice, clean, well maintained hotel in central London.
The Caesar hotel in London is a very clean and very friendly hotel. The staff is excellent and always very helpful. The breakfast is delicious and leaves you well-prepared for the day ahead. I think I've just found my favourite hotel in London.
From the rude welcome from the night receptionist who immediately told me he would be charging me an extra £50 deposit even though I had paid for my room upfront and was leaving less than 8 hours later, to the night porter whom I caught staring into my car, trying to open the door, I found this hotel threatening, cold, uncomfortable and the staff intimidating. As a single woman who is very used to travelling alone, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially anyone arriving late at night. The room was basic, more 3 star in terms of facilities and the bed was the hardest I've ever slept in. I would have been better off and safer in a Travelodge!
This is a functional hotel located not far from Paddington station with good access to the circle line from Bayswater station. It is located in a quieter area so benefits from less noise than many London hotels.
The rooms are small and a little shabby but very clean and the shower/bathroom is of a decent standard.
The common areas are pleasant with a nice bar and restaurant which is all fairly informal, relaxed and quiet.
There is a strong aroma of incense in the hotel Which seems to be burned in the lobby, unusual for a hotel.
On the whole I would recommend this for a business traveller needing a fuss free overnight in London. If I were a couple or on vacation I would look for something different.
We really enjoyed the check in process, the extremely pleasant and helpful staff. The front desk found and printed British Airways umbrella policy for us. When we checked in for our flight home and were told we would have to check our umbrellas we just showed the agent the print out and were able to carry the umbrellas onto the plane. Pretty cool.
