Hotel from hell

We got there after spending 10 days in Spain. When we got there late at night the management informed us the air conditioner does work and they only can give us one fan for our 2 bedroom suite and don't forget we were traveling in the month of July and thank god we didn't hit the heat wave. They suggested if we are not happy we should switch hotels. We checked and we couldn't find anything in Mayfair area. So we decided we will stay. We went to our suite everything was so old and dirty nothing like the pictures on the website. I asked for some ice.... guess what the ice machine was broken!!! So I had to walk for a mile to buy ice from a supermarket. We found out later that this hotel would be closed a week after our stay for a full remodeling that's why they weren't fixing anything. The management was descent and very understanding with these problems. The bottom line is if I am paying 700.00 a night I should have been told about these issues before they booked us. The location was great and I am sure after remodeling it will be a nice rooms just like the pictures on the website.

Best place to walk in Mayfair.

Our room was big enough for 4 person

O.K. but far from the underground and with a poor service

The rooms are big and comfortable and location is good but the hotel is around 10 minutes walk from the nearest underground station which can be annoying when you're carrying languages and at the end of a busy day.
In addition, service is pretty poor. We had to ask 3 times to make the room for 3 adults and not 2 although thats waht we ordered and when we complained about a/c not working in the room we got a solution of a portable a/c with a wierd attitude.
Overall, I would have prefered a different hotel

The flats are really well served with all you need from the microwave to the washing machine. The staff is friendly and very professional. I had the necessity this time to deal also with the management and I do confirm that it is very responsive and available.
