How to Get There
Stayed over on Saturday / Sunday night. As the other reviewers have quite rightly said - it is a great hotel. Very quiet and clean. I had a king bedroom and it was lovely.
The hotel is right next to Prince Regent Stn on the DLR. From the platform up the stairs turn right and its just in front of you - doors on the left.
Breakfast is expensive - £17.50 - but that’s London for you. It was very nice tho!
Stayed here for a night on a recent swing through London. It’s very close to city airport and is basically adjacent to one of the main convention halls in the city. The docklands generally are being heavily invested in for both residential and commercial purposes. The hotel itself was fantastic, my suite was spacious and very comfortable. The staff was hospitable and generous. Breakfast was pretty good. Really liked the easy access to the DLR. I’m looking forward to a future stay here.
There were some issues during the time that we stayed arising from the planned arms convention at the Excel centre next door. I felt that the hotel staff were disinterested in customers who had experienced these problems, I saw little eye contact and lots of people on computers all the time and the fact that the hotel hasnt been in contact after my feedback directly to them after a month confirms this.
The hotel was in a great location, strange layouts to the rooms however (tea making facilities in the bathroom). The rooms definately are orientated towards male customers in the style of the decor and provision (mens shower gel only provided for example, so ladies don't pack too light!).
Having said this, the Prince Regent station is almost part of the hotel so it was made accessible to reach the parts of London we needed easily. Cleanliness was very good. And the price was great. So I would be likely to try again and hope that the staff were maybe just overwhelmed by the impact of the arms convention.
