Convenient and spotless

We had a 2-bedroon flat with a full kitchen. Daily service. It had everything we needed! 24-hour Reception staff were very pleasant, but don't expect them to act like a concierge at a hotel. It's right across the Liverpool Tube station so is extremely convenient for getting everywhere. Loads of pubs and restaurants nearby; Boots next door; supermarket within 1 minute walk; 3 minute walk to Old Spitalfields Market on the week-end. The living room faced Bishopsgate and was noisy in the evenings, but all the bedrooms were in the back of the flat and were quiet. We were more than pleased with the size of the rooms, the cleanliness, the proximity to transportation, restaurants, and markets. It does take about 30 minutes to get to the heart of the city but we loved it! Because it is closer to Spitalfields, I felt the food cost was more than reasonable.

Great apart-hotel!
Clean, quiet (very good noise insulation), public transport just across the road, and shops, bars, restaurants and markets all over the neighbourhood.
The apartment included a functional and new kitchen, smart TV, good heating system, wooden floor and wash and dry machine.
Happily recommended for families with small kids, as well.

Not bad for the price

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, it was adequate space considering its central location.
The kitchen was also fine for a short stop over and clean.
The bathroom contained a ironing board and washing machine in the cupboard, the shower enclosure was a single size and there was no bath, but again clean.
Bedroom had double frosted glass which opened onto the lounge area.
Plenty of eateries near by and Liverppol street mainline train station directly opposite.
There is a Tesco metro supermarket a couple of doors along.
If i stayed in London id consider staying there again as i think the price is fair for the area.

Good location. Old looking apartment.

196 Bishopsgate offers services apartments in London. Apartments are comfortable, well located, just in front of Liverpool Street Station, and there are plenty of places to eat and buy groceries near by.

The reception is open 24h, but you’ll hardly notice them as they are usually just minding their own business.

The apartment we stayed was appropriate for two couples, with two separate rooms, kitchenette, and living room.

Although I would recommend it for families, I think it is more appropriate for one+ week long business trips requiring you to set up temporary headquarters in London.

Good alternative to hotel

This is an apart-hotel located right opposite Liverpool Street Station in the City. It is a nice budget alternative to a standard hotel, and offers ample space and amenities which compare favorably. It would probably work best for a longer stay, but I was overnight for meetings and it still did me fine. Yes, the bathroom was somewhat small, some of the fittings could have been better quality, but at the price I was charged it did me fine and compares well to other places I have stayed at recently in London. Moreover it was quiet (although that could have been my room). The week before I stayed at the Curtain in Shoreditch, which is cute, but comes with really tiny rooms. The cost was also only comparable because a member signed me in. Of the two, I would choose to stay in 196 again.
