This was a fabulous event hosted by the hotel and one of my most enjoyable evenings ever.
The food was absolutely superb both in taste and service.
The venue is magnificent and exudes excellence.
Organisation was top drawer and the whole event seemed to run like clockwork.

Great service from the second we arrived - Stayed for 2 days during Chester Races, and the service was impeccable. There are so many staff that there is always someone on hand to assist. Great location, great room and the bed was very comfortable - we will definitely be back!

A delightful stay

The lovely wife treated us to 2 nights here for my birthday, and I could not have been happier.
The welcome was, as one might expect, very warm.
Our bags were taken from us on arrival at the main hotel entrance and we were shown to the receptionist, checked in, and shown to our room.

Our room was large and bright, with little intrusive noise. I was touched by the hand written birthday message and cake that were waiting in the room.

Continental breakfast was included in our room rate and was plenty for us, given that porridge is included with this selection

A minor error on our bill was sorted very quickly when we checked out, but I would not hesitate to stay here again...

Please thank the appropriate people for the birthday treats?

Great birthday weekend
Reviewed 1 week ago

I was a little worried when we arrived and had to change rooms and having seen 3 different ones, was still somewhat underwhelmed by them (unfortunately the views and decor are a bit hit and miss and the air con was rather noisy). However, that aside, the weekend was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We ate in both the Simon Radley restaurant (incredible) and the brasserie and had the afternoon tea spa package on my partner’s birthday and we were so impressed by both the food and the service throughout. There were a few unexpected extras in terms of costs for hot breakfast (only continental included in B&B rate) and 12.5% service charge on pretty much everything, but then again, the service is extremely good! The spa facilities are quite basic but the massage was very good, and I’ve never had an afternoon tea that impressive (the gentleman’s afternoon tea sandwiches were fabulous, and they even offered top ups if you wanted). All in all, worth the expensive price tag to feel like you’re really experiencing a luxurious stay. My partner had a great birthday there, so thanks to the staff for all the extra touches including the birthday chocolate cigars and the tour of the kitchen!
