Overview

The Review

The designers and owners of Chester Place had this in mind: to give people the opportunity to rent a beautiful and luxurious townhouse in the heart of London that feels like their own house. They brought in stellar architects and interior designers like Jayne Wunder to give the property a modern revamp that blends in seamlessly with the neighborhood’s neoclassical and Regency architecture.

Downy sofas and original 1950s Eames lounge chairs flank the fireplace in the drawing room; it’s the perfect place to lose the afternoon napping or reading a book — so don’t get sucked in while visiting the British capital.

Some of best perks of this property include the possibility of hiring a private chef to cater to your culinary whims. There’s a basement area with an office, nursery and playroom for children, making the property a smart high-end choice for family travelers.

Luxury and comfort aside, Chester Place is a historic property with a colorful past. This elegant 19th-century building is the work of famed architect John Nash. Charles Darwin briefly lived here, in the thick of elegant homes and the green and leafy expanses of Regent’s Park. It’s a place that hums with living history — a classic British home that’s connected to the past but maintains a firmly modern point of view.

The best ever

I can honestly say that this is the best b&b that we have ever stayed in. Everything about it was superb, the staff were very friendly and helpful as were the owners. The breakfast was to die for, honestly it was fantastic, there was everything you could possibly want. The full english was as good as you will get anywhere. My wife and I tried to find fault with the place but we couldn't it was that good. We can't wait for out next trip.

We Must Stay Longer

We always stay at Stone Villa when visiting the north from our home in South Wales so this is our fifth or sixth visit; it’s that good. This time we stayed on Saturday on the way up and then a week on Monday on our way back. We also always promise ourselves that we will stay longer as Stone Villa is such a comfortable and welcoming bed and breakfast.
The rooms here are a good size, very well decorated and appointed and spotlessly clean especially the well sized and equipped bathrooms. The breakfasts are very good, the service excellent and the staff pleasant. You will get a warm welcome, a comfortable stay which is reasonably priced and a cheery goodbye. There is not much else we can say, Stone Villa is in our view faultless. We must make an effort to stay longer next time we come north.

In this case DO believe everything you read on the internet

For the avoidance of duplication, I concur with everything good my fellow visitors have said about this place. It is first class. Undoubtedly amongst the best places of this type we’ve stayed in. Honestly it’s fab. Wonderfully welcoming owner, cracking breakfast served by wonderfully attentive and friendly staff and a room that’s spotless. If you’re after a guest house in Chester this is the place to stay.
