Overview

The Review

The designers and owners of Chester Place had this in mind: to give people the opportunity to rent a beautiful and luxurious townhouse in the heart of London that feels like their own house. They brought in stellar architects and interior designers like Jayne Wunder to give the property a modern revamp that blends in seamlessly with the neighborhood’s neoclassical and Regency architecture.

Downy sofas and original 1950s Eames lounge chairs flank the fireplace in the drawing room; it’s the perfect place to lose the afternoon napping or reading a book — so don’t get sucked in while visiting the British capital.

Some of best perks of this property include the possibility of hiring a private chef to cater to your culinary whims. There’s a basement area with an office, nursery and playroom for children, making the property a smart high-end choice for family travelers.

Luxury and comfort aside, Chester Place is a historic property with a colorful past. This elegant 19th-century building is the work of famed architect John Nash. Charles Darwin briefly lived here, in the thick of elegant homes and the green and leafy expanses of Regent’s Park. It’s a place that hums with living history — a classic British home that’s connected to the past but maintains a firmly modern point of view.

Great second visit
Reviewed 4 days ago

Stayed here briefly last year and were eager to return. Managed 2 nights this time and again cannot fault it. Large comfy room, huge bed! Tea and coffee facilities with free water and proper milk plus biscuits. Hairdryer was fantastic not like usually provided in b&b. Enjoyed being able to have a bath (bubble bath provided) after a long day visiting Liverpool. Breakfast made to order and the best poached eggs ever. Nice to have fruit available and the additional option of cranberry juice together with apple and orange. We will definitely be back again.

Superb B & B!

My first visit here, and already looking forward to a return later this year. From arrival to departure everything was perfect. On arrival was offered complimentary tea and cake - really nice, and most welcome after my drive. The room was great - decor, facilities, etc....everything seems to have been thought of by the owners. Breakfast was fantastic...a big array of cold items, and the cooked breakfast was excellent! I travel a fair bit, and don't think I've stayed in a better B & B. Free parking too. A comfortable 15 mins walk into the centre of Chester. Already booked my next trip and benefitted from a 10% reduction as a returning guest.

Great Weekend
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Me and my partner stayed here last weekend and couldn't fault a single thing. I was initially planning to book a hotel nearby but stumbled across this when comparing prices and was interested at how good the reviews were. We were not disappointed at all and the whole weekend was perfect. The staff were friendly and welcoming and breakfast was very good with a good variety of options. Room was clean and tidy and parking was right out front. This will definitely be the only place we look at when staying in Chester!

Absolutely perfect in every detail!

My partner and I stayed last night for a one-night getaway and there is absolutely nothing I could fault. Staff/owner went above and beyond expectations. We were greeted with a glass of sherry, tea and delicious cake upon arrival! We were helped with our luggage to our room, offered advice and help to plan our evening. Breakfast was included and was cooked fresh upon request. Beds were very comfortable. The room and bathroom was immaculate, fresh and no stale smell. This is the perfect place for a couples getaway and is much more than just a room to sleep in. Will recommend to everyone.

Perfect stay

Beautiful house with recently and very tastefully decorated rooms. The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac with ample parking.
We were served coffee and cake when we arrived including a gluten-free option for myself.
Great location for a stroll into Chester, it took us about 10 minutes. There are nearby bars and restaurants if you don’t want to walk into town. It’s also just off the main road to take you to Cheshire Oaks.
Breakfast was lovely and there are gluten-free options on offer too. I have coeliac disease and on speaking with the owner was confident that he fully understood the need for 100% gluten-free.
We would definitely stay here again.
