Overview

The Review

The designers and owners of Chester Place had this in mind: to give people the opportunity to rent a beautiful and luxurious townhouse in the heart of London that feels like their own house. They brought in stellar architects and interior designers like Jayne Wunder to give the property a modern revamp that blends in seamlessly with the neighborhood’s neoclassical and Regency architecture.

Downy sofas and original 1950s Eames lounge chairs flank the fireplace in the drawing room; it’s the perfect place to lose the afternoon napping or reading a book — so don’t get sucked in while visiting the British capital.

Some of best perks of this property include the possibility of hiring a private chef to cater to your culinary whims. There’s a basement area with an office, nursery and playroom for children, making the property a smart high-end choice for family travelers.

Luxury and comfort aside, Chester Place is a historic property with a colorful past. This elegant 19th-century building is the work of famed architect John Nash. Charles Darwin briefly lived here, in the thick of elegant homes and the green and leafy expanses of Regent’s Park. It’s a place that hums with living history — a classic British home that’s connected to the past but maintains a firmly modern point of view.

Wonderful return trip

I was so happy to be able to stay here again. The owners Dave and Kirsty are the absolute best and they run a spectacular B and B. The rooms are awesome and the breakfast is the best-from full English breakfast to whatever your heart desires.

Fab, hidden gem of a hotel.

Sadly I haven’t taken any photos of Stone Villa but, I can assure you, what a great hotel.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very neat and well presented. Hoole main street is just around the corner and you are within touching distance of bars and restaurants.

Chester centre is a 10-15 min walk or a very cheap taxi ride.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It is ideal for those shopping trips or family/couple getaways.

Will definitely be returning.

Lovely quiet family run Inn.

On our visit to England from Canada we decided to take a trip to Chester. After 6 hours of walking around beautiful Chester, our feet decided it was time to find the Stone Villa Inn were we had booked in for the night. Somewhere along the day I had lost the small map of how to get to it. We asked a very kind lady on the street, who called the Inn and walked us the few blocks to it where the owner was waiting outside for us. The hospitality only grew from there.
The room was clean, nicely decorated and had every personal care and convenience for a great stay. The breakfast in the morning was the best we have had anywhere. Our host was congenial and made us feel very welcome.
I would highly recommend this establishment.
