Overview

The Review

The designers and owners of Chester Place had this in mind: to give people the opportunity to rent a beautiful and luxurious townhouse in the heart of London that feels like their own house. They brought in stellar architects and interior designers like Jayne Wunder to give the property a modern revamp that blends in seamlessly with the neighborhood’s neoclassical and Regency architecture.

Downy sofas and original 1950s Eames lounge chairs flank the fireplace in the drawing room; it’s the perfect place to lose the afternoon napping or reading a book — so don’t get sucked in while visiting the British capital.

Some of best perks of this property include the possibility of hiring a private chef to cater to your culinary whims. There’s a basement area with an office, nursery and playroom for children, making the property a smart high-end choice for family travelers.

Luxury and comfort aside, Chester Place is a historic property with a colorful past. This elegant 19th-century building is the work of famed architect John Nash. Charles Darwin briefly lived here, in the thick of elegant homes and the green and leafy expanses of Regent’s Park. It’s a place that hums with living history — a classic British home that’s connected to the past but maintains a firmly modern point of view.

Excellent Guesthouse

My wife and I stayed here for four nights recently and thought it was superb. The owners, Dave and Kirsty, made us feel very much at home and were happy to recommend places to see and where to eat in Chester. The room was very comfortable with a decent shower. The breakfasts were quite superb and all freshly cooked with plenty of choice. The cereals and fruit selection was also great too.

We couldn’t have asked for a better base to stay for Chester with local bars and restaurants just round the corner and Chester itself a 15 minute walk away. Won’t hesitate in staying here again if we are in the area.

It doesn’t get any better than Stone Villa.

Another lovely stay!

This is our second visit and yet again we can not fault the service and welcome we received from Dave and Kirsty. Location is great for the town and zoo. The rooms are extremely clean and well appointed, their wine prices are very good even though we didn't partake. Breakfast was even better than before with far more choices, I have to say the eggs Benedict were lovely. So it's a big thank you to all the team at Stone Villa for a very enjoyable stay, we'll be back again!

So many people write about this place that it’s difficult to pick something different however apart from nice rooms , great cleanliness, super breakfast this B&Bs owners really care about their guests. Without exception every morning Dave came and spoke to every guest without exception. Other guest house owners should take a leaf out of Dave’s book.
Thanks Dave for a great 2 night escape.

We stayed here for one night, on route between Yorkshire & North Wales. It was very easy to find from the Motorway, with the directions provided by Stone Villa. Parking out the front was easy & we could leave the car. Our room was up stairs, and the man on reception very kindly carried the bags up. The room had everything that was required.
Easy to walk into Chester.
Loved the small extra touches and the port downstairs for a nightcap.
Great location around the corner from a lovely shopping strip & excellent Sunday Roast at the Faulkner Hotel. Excellent breakfast.
The owner also provided helpful directions and recommendations for our next day driving as well as giving as maps.
Would definitely recommend
