Overview

An ultra-luxe five-star beach resort, with a sprawling spa complex, gourmet dining and a pristine beach

The Lowdown

Named after the original site of the Olympic Games, whose ruins sit close by, the Olympia Riviera Thalasso is an incredible five-star resort. Boasting a prime beachfront location in Greece’s Peloponnese, the property overlooks one of the Mediterranean’s longest stretches of sandy beach, where sparkling blue waters gently lap the shore and canopied daybeds wait for you to claim them as your own. As stunning as the sea looks, the hotel’s freshwater pool is equally inviting, sitting right in front of the sand and stretching the whole length of the hotel.
The resort’s lavish interiors pay homage to classical Greece, with statues, pillars and graceful archways. The spa, Elixir Thalassotherapy Center, is even more impressive – built in the style of a Greek temple, this sanctuary of relaxation offers a luxurious array of treatment options, as well as a palatial indoor pool. Exquisite dining and drinks options will please your taste buds, while the tennis academy and gym will keep you looking like a Greek god (or goddess). If you have any time left, try an archery or dance lesson, or go horseback riding along the many forest trails that surround the resort.

Great hotel and very friendly staff
Reviewed 6 hours ago

We have stayed to the hotel for 6 days and overall our experience was very good. The positives are the location of the hotel, the beach, great layout of the buildings, friendly staff, a fantastic spa(definitely worth a visit), great views and the aqua park/pools. The negatives are that the restaurants are very expensive(after our first night we visit the local town), no babysitting for 1year old baby and the family room space wise, looked smaller than expected.

Simply... The definition of a 5er

Been there on a cool mid-May weekend with family and friends from my kids' school.

The resort is awesome from all aspects.
The area is beautiful and nicely maintained.
All very nice, the pools, the beach, the restaurants, food... and of course... the aqua park!!

Nevertheless, nothing would look as good, if the staff wasn't that awesome too!!!

All willing to assist, with a nice smile on their faces, pleasant and polite, even funny at times.
Won't forget the chats and omelettes of Mrs Roula. And also the laughter with Mrs Xanthippi (I'm not sure of the name though...)
Everyone working at the restaurant did their best and the results are obvious.
Actually... everyone at the whole resort:The reception and the lady that welcomed us, the people working at the pools, the DJ, the lifeguards at the pools and aqua park... Everyone!!!

The whole area is beautiful and worth visiting.

The only unpleasant thing was the price for the activities, especially cycling which is extremely expensive...

And paying 3 euros for a small bottle of water... Come on...

Nevertheless... The whole experience was amazing.

Thank you all

Would definitely revisit.

A wonderful place. It feels luxurious but not in a tacky way. The Acqua Park is great and the kids were entertained every day. The staff are brilliant. If I have one criticism its that ththe restaurants are quite expensive, but we had a car and also ate at the local village.

A great place and I would definitely go back!

A great weekend!

We stayed two days in Olympia Riviera in Sep 2018 and it was a weekend to remember. All four of us enjoyed the water park facilities, the food and the service in general. I think the best part of this hotel is its personnel. Great people!!!

Great service at the lobby

I was with my boyfriend and his mother at the Grecotel. During our stay a waiter named Vasyl working at the lobby bar took great care of us and was always positive. I can highly recommend the lobby bar for the great entertainment every night.
