Named after the original site of the Olympic Games, whose ruins sit close by, the Olympia Riviera Thalasso is an incredible five-star resort. Boasting a prime beachfront location in Greece’s Peloponnese, the property overlooks one of the Mediterranean’s longest stretches of sandy beach, where sparkling blue waters gently lap the shore and canopied daybeds wait for you to claim them as your own. As stunning as the sea looks, the hotel’s freshwater pool is equally inviting, sitting right in front of the sand and stretching the whole length of the hotel.
The resort’s lavish interiors pay homage to classical Greece, with statues, pillars and graceful archways. The spa, Elixir Thalassotherapy Center, is even more impressive – built in the style of a Greek temple, this sanctuary of relaxation offers a luxurious array of treatment options, as well as a palatial indoor pool. Exquisite dining and drinks options will please your taste buds, while the tennis academy and gym will keep you looking like a Greek god (or goddess). If you have any time left, try an archery or dance lesson, or go horseback riding along the many forest trails that surround the resort.
How to Get There
We booked a superior bungalow which was part of a small multiplex building and not a standard standvalone bungalow. It was small and the extra bed was awful and uncomfortable. The bedsheets were changed only once in a week. The hotel was 5 star only by name and not an actual 5 star accommodation. It was not value for money.
Terrific views, clean see, helpful staff.
You can indulge in luxury or alternatively spent your time actively.
There are fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, horse riding.
Many thanks to the animation team, especially to fitness instructor Natalie for her Pilates and stretching courses.
Just returned last week from a great stay. Dimitra our concierge was fantastic throughout our stay. Taking the time to get to know us. Always asking if we needed anything whenever she saw us right up until the minute we left. Xenia would greet us every morning and night with a smile at restaurant and made sure we had a table to our liking. Zoi and Artemis wait staff was wonderful at their job! Male manager at restaurant put me off by berating overworked staff in front of customers. Waterpark not only entertained kids but parents too! Well organized and fully staffed to keep all safe. Would definitely visit again
