Upscale all-inclusive with seven restaurants and a roster of activities overlooking beautiful Tangolunda Bay
Dreams Huatulco is geared towards romance-seeking couples, who can exchange sweet nothings over grilled lobster at the adults-only oceanfront Oceana restaurant, and children, who are amply entertained at the Explorer’s Club, a fully supervised kid’s club that includes adventures like beach camping. As at most Mexican all-inclusives, the vibe skews young (or at least young at heart), so expect the party to continue on into the night at the many bars and lounges, some of which offer theme nights, music, and other diversions. But decompression is also on the menu: try a water lily after-sun soothing wrap or a vinotherapy massage at the spa.
In the Area
The state of Oaxaca is blessed with natural beauty galore, from lush jungle to mountains to pristine beaches, so be sure to tear yourself away from the resort long enough to experience some of it. The stunning Copalita waterfalls, and the Copalita Eco-Archeological Park, which contains several ruins and temples, are worth a day trip. Get caffeinated at one of the region’s coffee plantations, like La Gloria, which also offers home-cooked meals.
