The Lowdown
After honing his hospitality skills at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane for 28 years, hotelier Neil Kirby decided to bring some Mayfair flair to Eastbourne’s seafront. The result is the AA 4-star Langham Hotel. Since the Kirby family acquired the hotel in 2005, an extensive refurbishment has seen a number of the rooms upgraded to reflect its bay views.
Befitting its Royal Parade address, English Channel views join AA Rosette-awarded cuisine in the Conservatory Restaurant here. In keeping with its classic design, Full English breakfasts also precede Grand Afternoon Teas. Upstairs tell a similarly grand story with corniced ceilings and sea views just some of the highlights that await.
