How to Get There
For the price a good value. An easy walk to the Oak Brook mall. Clean modern. Fun place. Sort of a 60’s feel. The room is a bit small reminded us of Europe. Located in the sand lot as Cheesecake Factory. Refrigerator and safe.
Stayed here for a few nights as part of a business trip. Due to my Marriott Bonvoy status, have access to the executive lounge.
The hotel itself is clean, modern and typical Le Meridien style and decor. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms are clean, updated with standard modern Le Meridien decor.
An unfortunate aspect of this Le Meridien compared to others are the walls between rooms and the doors. They are not up to Le Meridien standard of sound dampening. Every night, I could hear my adjacent room neighbors as though they were in my room(talking, TV, etc.). Could hear every noise from the hallway whenever someone went by if they were talking.
One really negative about this Le Meridien compared to others: the executive lounge in the evenings had NOTHING in terms of food/desserts/appetizers.
Breakfast in the lounge was fine with both hot and cold assortment of foods.
Overall, an Ok hotel but not up to the Le Meridien brand class.
We stay here when visiting our family back in Chicago. It has a great location right off of most of the major expressways. Parking can be a challenge as there are so many restaurants nearby. We really enjoy breakfast in the restaurant. The last couple of times we’ve stayed here, Juan has waited on us for breakfast and not only is he super attentive, he is sweet, accommodating, and welcoming. The Illy Cafe espresso machines in the room are a great touch.
