How to Get There
Delicious grilled chicken. Particularly the thighs. Various Per-Peri sauce very good. Interesting selection of sides. Service slow. Naperville an Oak Park locations also very good . Sauces available in bottles for sale.
I’m sad to say that this place disappointed us greatly. Most of the staff was great and able to accommodate everything we asked for, which is why they get 2 stars. The room felt kind of depressing. It was dark and gloomy. The wall paper was a deep grey that was almost black. So add that to the lack of lighting, and you’ve got yourself a darkroom. Might as well use the room for photo production (dark room). The layout was weird. I usually don’t like it when the sink is outside of the bathroom. Usually, in cases like that, there have been 2 sinks: one in the bathroom, and one outside. There was room for a sink in the bathroom, but that space was being unused so it felt like something was missing. Lastly, there was mold in the shower stall, to which management just said, “we use black grout and we get that complaint frequently.” Ok, my response to you is that I know mold when I see it. I’m a neat freak. There was mold in the caulking too. So I know I’m not crazy. It made me feel like I was showering in filth and an unmaintained hotel. It’s supposed to be an excellent hotel and the best one in the area, but I won’t stay here again unless it’s under new management.
On business trip for 3 days, look ing for a place to be well and close to restaurants and shops. Just a few steps away from the mall in oak brook, plenty of restaurants across the parking lot. Calm and courteous staff, ready to help if necessary. Go to the room on the parking, which is fine. Rooms are clean, modern with large flat screen tv and excellent Wifi connection. Room service comes earlier than announced and menu is good.
Travel to Oak Brook frequently and decided to try staying at Le Meridian as it recently became a part of the Marriott family. The hotel sits adjacent to the Mall and parking is a hassle. The hotel itself is clean. The front desk personel are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. However, the concierge lounge is poorly maintained and displayed the worst service I have experienced . The food is limited and the hot food is cold, utensils sparse, and coffee tastes burnt. If management spent a little time cleaning up this important part of the travelers stay, I would have give Le Meridian 5 stars.
I have worked in this mall since 1982 I remember this hotel when it was amazing.
I will say it was clean, room was immaculate.
It’s like staying inside IKEA!!!
We walk in and no one is at the front desk, it is 6 pm on Friday night no one around, we had to yell out hellooooo
We go up to our room and we almost walked out. All furniture is low, not study certainly now comfortable or luxurious. The bathroom (immaculate) no way you can use your shampoo and shower it’s a small shower and no real place to put your toiletries.
They have a chair for a desk hard on wheels a low sofa cute yet my 6 ft muscular husband looked like he was sitting on Barbies furniture.
The pillows were air, bed low not comfy. We left at 5 am it was like camping for me. We had a wonderful day and dinner at the mall Christmas shopping thought it would be fun staying in the mall... to check out again no one around we joked maybe this place is closing we saw only one person and no other people the entire time we were there. The coffee machine in the room was cool!
