Great hotel

Beautiful hotel, well maintained and well staffed and well trained in customer service. Room was spacious and updated and very clean. Gotta say the shower was impressive given the height of the rain shower. There are 2 restaurants on property and many others within a short drive. Target is also across the street which is convenient.

Rooms are spacious, standard amenities, sink water flow a bit slow but shower water flow was alright. Room cleanliness was alright except found few strands of hair on top of the toilet bowl cover. 2 bottles of drinking water provided in the room. During check in, hotel staff were nice and friendly. Housekeeping staff are friendly too. Hotel provide prearranged shuttle bus to Oakbrook Centre and Lombard train station. Hotel will also assist to arrange shuttle to shops or restaurant within 5 miles of the hotel, just contact concierge staff with a small fee/tips. Normally the concierge staff are friendly and nice but today we encountered one concierge staff (Marty) who was rude and unfriendly. Did not respond when I greeted him good morning nor replied when I said 'thank you'. Complained that we did not give enough tips to him.

Horrible customer service at front desk

We were looking forward to staying at this higher end property based on reviews, location, and amenities.

To start off the check in was problematic as the the reservations were made through Marriott who had to transfer us to Starwood because of the systems not being in sync yet. Loyalty status didn’t seem to aid at all.

The front desk told us that we had double the amount of rooms as we originally paid for and provided the wrong information about our reservation THREE times.

When I spoke with front desk they misread the reservation and told me I had to pay for the extra rooms under my name. If I had a problem with that they couldn’t help and the finance manager would be in on Monday to talk to.

We had to reach out to Marriott Customer service who had to contact front desk and after they were told the wrong info AS WELL the customer service rep had to educate the front desk clerk how to read and interpret a reservation and guest check in info. As this happened three times I feel that is greatly disappointing and a flaw in training and or hiring.

I feel that this misstep three times is sad and enough to lose faith in this property. Especially with the angst of being told that close to 400 will be charged additionally to a one night stay and that there is no immediate recourse.

I expect this from a fleabag motel, not a high end property.

Great stay.Nice hotel, clean and spacious rooms. I liked the location a lot, close to everything. The front desk employees were great. Great two restaurants attached to the hotel, Harry Carry's was good place to eat at.

Went to Chicago for a Sci-fi convention, WindyCon, and had a grand time visitng with Friends I haven't seen in 2 yrs. Stayed at the Westin and loved all of it. the hotel was wonderful. The Bellmen were so wonderful helping us with bags, and besides the hotel being a little to warm for a southern like me it was all GREAT.
