How to Get There
As a titanium I didn’t get any upgrade, even a better view. Also, this Westin is way past it’s prime, and overdue for a remodel. My guess is the franchise is trying to delay the spend on remodel as long as possible. The furniture is frayed and stained, and the carpet is dirty. The gym machines have rust and are worn down. I’d avoid this place until they clearly advertise a remodel is occurring.
From the front door, bellmen, front desk to the house keepers. We can't say enough about this hotel. Everyone is very nice and discerning. We use this venue a lot for out of town guests and have stayed there ourselves ( even though we live locally).
Clean and modern.
I have only been here for two days now, and wow, service is seriously lacking here. First I check in to what seems to be an ok room, fairly dated. A few hours later after I am sitting in the room listening to water pooling up in my bathroom where it appears to have been leaking for a looong time by the staining. I called down to let them know, and without any empathy she simply offers another room. No apology, nothing. Now I have to pack all of my stuff up and move into another room on another floor, no offer for help or points or anything. Not loving how the situation was handled at all. And now this morning I went to go pick up a package for work I had delivered, I spoke with the front desk who stated it wasn’t in the system so I would have to wait. Maybe I should tell my customers they have to wait now? After she finally called security for the package she advised me of the “shipping and handling fee” what?... I thought that’s why I pay Fedex. She tried to tell me this is standard in all hotels...except that I have stayed in hundreds of hotels mostly Marriott SPG and have never been charged this fee and I shop a package to every hotel for work. Needless to say I am not feeling like an ambassador lifetime platinum elite member at this hotel and I’ve just started my stay here. I tried to reserve judgement after last night but this morning was the last straw. I hope they will get it together but I am super disappointed so far .
