How to Get There
My husband and I (both male) spent 4 nights in Mid-September and were very happy here. Strongly recommend arranging transfers through the hotel. We arrived on the ferry and left via the airport and our luggage was taken care of for us. Our room was ready when we arrived, despite it being before "check-in". Breakfast on the terrace each morning was wonderful and the staff so willing to please. The private beach was perfect for relaxing, and the Adriatic was refreshing. This was a great hotel to take a break from frantic sightseeing and just relax. The concierge staff made great dining recommendations - some of which were not on the usual lists - and these were our most memorable. I only wish we had stayed longer....
The hotel was built less than a decade ago and feels crisp and modern when you walk in. The staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming. The man who met us at the street ended up taking us on a tour of the whole facility as well as bringing our bags to our room.
My wife and I booked a photoshoot from an online service and the security staff went out of their way to help us access the most photogenic parts of the hotel to help us take the best pictures. The staff is extremely professional and well trained.
The only downsides, in my opinion, tend to be around the room itself. The hotel has taken an eco stance (key must be left in the slot for power and AC to remain on, you must put towels in the bathtub for the to be washed, etc...) which is obviously admirable, but ends up subtracting noticeably from the comfort. The AC does not go below 72 F (21 C) and we were too hot to sleep well most nights. The need to have a key in the slot for power and AC to work was also frustrating as it meant we could only have one key or come home to an extremely warm room in the evenings.
The most frustrating thing was that we booked a king bed, which was two standard beds put together as well as uncomfortably hard. Not a luxury bed by any means.
My partner and I have just returned from a great 4 days at the Villa. Stunning views, professional and very courteous staff, great cocktails and salads and excellent location away from the bustle of the old town but nevertheless easy to get to.
