How to Get There
This hotel charges the same prices as the most luxurious five star hotels in the world so it must be judged by those standards. The property is beautiful although difficult to find since only an elevator is visible from the street. You go down the elevator to reach reception. However, there was no one waiting outside the hotel to greet you or help with the luggage. In fact, there was no one to help with the luggage either at arrival or at check out. The executive suite with the terrace was small for a suite and about the size of an average American hotel room. The bathroom has a glass window with a curtain that needs to be pulled for privacy. The combined tub/shower combination makes the shower quite difficult to get in and out of and would not be suitable for the disabled. There were tell tale marks of bad maintenance as there were chips in the bathroom tiles. The hair dryer didn't work, the TV didn't work and the Internet didn't work although all were fixed after calls but these are maintenance issues that should be checked periodically so that guests are not spending time getting basic items to function. The seafront view is superb and is as close to the sea as one can get. The hotel itself is sleek and modern and very attractive. However, the level of service is simply not up to a five star level. The lack of a porter for the luggage, the waiter service at the restaurant, the room service, the service is simply not at a five star level although everyone was quite nice.
We went for a drink at Villa Dubrovnik hoping they’d allow us to. The staff were incredibly welcoming and lovely. We went 2 nights in a row.
It has a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea and a perfect place to be when it’s the sunset!
Would look to stay next time!
So looking forward to our 5 day Honeymoon holiday. From time of arrival at airport we were kept waiting for a private transport for approx 1 hr 20min, due to road works that hotel was very aware of. Lovely gentelman collected us, he for whole of journey was selling us trips to go on whilst there. We agreed a trip later in week when wanted to cancel found out this was not through the hotel!!
Breakfast time was like being in a train station, everyone was in such a hurry to clear things away to prepare for lunch. Rooms were small not worth the money.Bar staff were once again only interested in cashing up, no feeling what so ever. We actually wanted to check out midweek.
Shall i go on NO!!! as my honeymoon was so disappointing and upset, will never go back to this hotel.
