Be one of the first to to stay at the gleaming new Royal Blue Hotel (opening in the spring), near the exquisite UNSECO World Heritage city of Dubrovnik on Croatia’s glorious Lapad Peninsula. The latest addition to the prestigious Importanne Resort (with four other hotels in the complex)), it looks set to be a real ace in the pack. Boasting fabulous views over the Adriatic’s turquoise waters towards the Elephati Islands, the star of the show has to be the amazing rooftop pool, where the stunning vistas will have you floating on cloud nine. Stretch out on a designer lounger and contemplate the inspirational panorama, where sea and sky seem to meld together.
It’s just a few steps down to the sea, where you can take a dip in the amazingly clear waters off a sheltered Blue Flag pebble beach or relax with a tipple at On The Rocks beach bar. If you fancy a spot of pampering you’ll find the wellness zone is a sublime oasis of calm. Elsewhere are three restaurants, from casual to fine dining, all with terraces embracing those jaw-dropping views. Importanne Resort is a worthy TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice winner, with previous guests showering it with perfect scores. We’re sure Royal Blue Hotel will up the standard even further.
How to Get There
Stayed here for 5 nights after getting a fantastic deal to this stunning part of Croatia.
The room we had was vast(picture attached). Room 5112. Own mini bar well stocked and all the toiletries you would want. Pool towels provided as well. The room was spotless and afforded partial sea view with sunset.
The staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included which was superb. Fantastic choices, all fresh, varied and plentiful as self service. They also do a range of cooked to order items, all excellent what we tried.
The hotel is part of a chain there and you can use all of the facilities at these.
We looked but liked ours more. There are 7 pools, including indoor, salt water and the best one the roof top infinity pool(picture attached). We found this amazing as afforded stunning views and the most romantic sunsets from the pool and terrace area. Also has a bar here serving food as well.
This was our base for the stunning area of Dubrovnik. It was about a 20 minute bus journey to the old town. The bus stop is about 5 mins walk from the hotel and at the end of the line. Costs about £2.50 one way and were clean, on time and plentiful.
We wanted somewhere away from the crowds of the old town but still close enough to get to easily. This fitted the bill and more.
Would not hesitate to stay here here again and recommend to anyone.
We arrived early so was offered a free drink at the rooftop bar so had a lovely start to the holiday.
Our room was ready early and it was fantastic, the view was one of the best ever.
It was very clean and a great size with views over the bay.
Friendly staff everywhere. I don't have one bad thing to say about anything. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was delicious.
There is a walkway up to the restaurants and bars and the beach so easy to get out and about. The number 6 bus outside the hotel goes directly into the old town and there is a beach just around the cove by the hotel next door with water sports. You can follow a path to the main new harbour which passes a couple of small beaches which are safe to swim around.
Would highly recommend.
Pictures do not do this place justice. You have to see it for yourself. I figured it would be nice and pleasant I didn't expect it to be Stunning. The location is second to none. The natural beauty alone would be enough to inspire one to pitch a tent and call it a vacation. When you add the staff, facilities, rooms. bars and restaurants all which are First Class you begin to quickly realize you're in Paradise. I could go on about the views and well appointed rooms etc. I'm not going to bother. I will tell you if you have the time and money it will be well spent if you don't have the time or money I suggest you find it. You can Thank me later. I've decided if I hit the lotto or get hit by a city bus and paid out I'm moving in Permanently.
